Popped in for a drink on the way home to Berkshire and a lovely welcome from the staff. A proper old English pub in the countryside but quirky with it. Didn't get chance to try the menu. But other people's plates looked delicious. We booked a table for the following week. Oh and the ales are fab! 🙂

Had absolutely cracking meal here. Flavours to die for. Venison and mushroom stroganoff was so good. Service is fantastic staff are all really nice and friendly. Was definitely worth the drive to get here, great value too and a stunning setting. Can't recommend enough.

The food was fab. I think this has to be the best burger Ive had all year. Went to The Ritz London week before and paid £32 for just a burger, it was great but I think The Yew Tree just edged it. Classic burger, beutifully presented with great quality produce, no silly toppings or 2" think pattie so you can't even get it your mouth. Chips were also a delight. My go to place for a burger from now on.Great service, fast food service and good beer wrapped up in a quaint classic English country pub with nice garden, what more could you want?

Great little country pub. The staff are so friendly, always a smile and in good spirits. Food was fab, large portions and great value for money. You have to try the "dirty fries" sharer. Hands down the best dirty fries out there.

Honestly, the best shoulder of lamb I have ever eaten!! We don’t know the area, as we are here for a wedding and staying close by, but we saw this place online and it had great reviews so we thought we’d pay a visit! Anyway, atmosphere, staff and food were amazing. Thank you!

Great burgers and fantastic chips. Yes there was a wait due to equipment failure and bank holiday but we were warned and hey it was a lazy Saturday so who cares. All in all an enjoyable lunch.

Visited this lovely pub for Mothers day lunch. Was our first visit for approximately 5 years and I can confirm the food and service are still absolutely amazing. The food was stunning, honestly can't recommend it highly enough, and thank you to the lovely staff who really made us feel welcome, we will back, very soon !!! :)

Treated by friends for my 50th birthday on Saturday 2nd April 2022.Probably the best restaurant meal I've ever had.Lady who runs the pub was charming, friendly, attentive and a fabulous host.Food was amazing and for the first time in a long while i actually got vegetables with my braised lamb, which was perfect.Desserts were gorgeous, wine fantastic, as was the company of good friends. In fact we were there for 3 1/2 hours which shows how good it was.Highly recommended. Will definitely go back

Absolutely wonder meal, I would recommend this pub to anyone and if you've not tried it you definitely should! The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Additionally, despite being a really busy evening all the staff were warm, friendly, attentive and cheerful, and made us feel really special.

Perfect....in literally every way. Great food, reasonably priced, and quickly delivered. Friendly staff, excellent professional front of house, lovely garden, all round good pricing of drinks too. Stunning burger, the best for a long time. This is now to do a pub!! Really well done!
