Cafe Express, Eastbourne in Eastbourne

A very pleasant family lunch. Our servers were very helpful and pleasant. Our starters came relatively quickly and our mains followed on at just the right time. We tried the new Leggera Pizzas and they were delicious. We were not hurried and enjoyed a leisurely lunch.

Pizza Express, one of my favorite places to eat. Great good and superb service.

The kids loved the pizza, even though it was half was not too busy. Great staff, just a bit cold where we were sitting( next to entrance)

The food was decent but very overpriced. There is vegan options available which is nice. The service was lacking including being left waiting for long periods of time, this may be a one off, not sure if there were staff shortages or something.

Food was average for an italian in the area.Service could have been friendlier.Female chef was very loud, laughing with the staff, felt unprofessional considering how small the restaurant is.Probably wouldn't return again.

lovely pizza, pudding very good.Clean restaurant. Fair price.Need to focus on making you feel more welcome by acknowledgement as you enter. Staff see you but don't smile , say we will be with you soon , or just a nod of there head.This is 2nd in 3 weeks I stop at this restaurant and felt the same both times.

I had a mushroom pizza. It came burnt all around the edges. The tomato puree was thick on the edges. It did not taste that nice. The menu has changed a lot since I was last there, not as much choice. Not value for money, i would expect a much better dish at a restaurant. I've had better from the supermarket.

We checked in a busy half term sunny day due to other places being fully booked. Staff were quick to seat us and we had a lovely table by the window. Service was quick and swift and food arrived in good time and very hot. Salad was fresh and looked prepared on order. A good choice of drinks and menus were full of suggestions and wide range provided. Kids meals include start, main and pudding for an amazing price for what you Get. You certainly get your monies worth. Pizzas are a good size and toping are Fresh.If they could work on anyway, the restaurant it self needs abit of TLC. A few bits of skirting missing, stains on wall etc. Also some food arrived a few minutes before they other dishes l, so could do with holding back until all dishes are ready for services

Great lockdown service. Social distancing and cleanliness well maintained. Always a hit for the children and one waitress especially was very friendly and the children absolutely loved her. Can't go wrong with the children's menu of course. But, my pasta bolognese was seasoned with fennel seeds. Innovative, but, I would rather like pasta to be Italian rather than an Indian version (despite being Indian). Besides, fennel does not go with meat at all. Overall a good experience.

Good friendly service. The food arrived quickly and tasted great. Prices are pretty good and even better with the constant offers they give you via the app. Highly recommend this place despite the outside of this place looking a little run down.
