Dew Drop Inn in Eastbourne

Great to have some music with a dj and see the pub is going strong having last visited as a student over 30 years ago!

Ordered a round of drinks for my family and partners and after doing the order, the barman asked for ID for the whole party - unfortunately one of the younger ones didn’t have ID (although clearly over 18) and so they indicated they wouldn’t serve us, barman was completely unclear on what should happen at that point so I said forget the round, chuck it and we left.It’s your business but IMHO it would have been an excellent idea to ask for ID before the drinks were poured and also possibly common sense could have been applied? Rubbish customer service anyway, put the rules first.Never mind, won’t be returning, their loss. I’d have given no stars if it were possible, although the barman was polite up until the point of being a jobsworth, which I understand was not his decision.

Lovely burger, polite friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. I had a buggy and it was easy to get into and around.

Average food and a very rude bartender, who instead of apologising for an incorrect order, took umbrage with my apparent “rude tone” and proceeded to quarrel with me and my partner for five minutes. Extremely disappointing and we will not be returning.

Great selection of tasty burgers at an average price. Very cosy atmosphere and a lovely fireplace!

Has a charming, slightly quirky (in parts) decor and cosy atmosphere. A good selection of drinks on tap. Delicious veggie burgers - hands down the best falafel burger in town! Just got overlooked a couple of times at the bar so deducted a star. Would visit again though!

Haven't been working in the area for a year but was great the last time. They didn't disappoint. Fab service very friendly and their burgers are to die for. Will return....thank you!

The best burgers ever, nice cold beer, heated cosy beer garden, friendly staff. Definitely come back there again!

Wow. That was an amazing meal. So nice. Worth every penny even if I hadn't got the government discount, which just made it all the better.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing.Good beers available too. I had a few pints of pint of 'Olde Trip' which was lovely.Just what I needed and I really enjoyed myself. I needed to relax after some tough times recently and this was perfect.Thank you Dew drop. :)
