Dolphin Fish and Chips Restaurant in Eastbourne

Food was nice BUT a medium portion was more on the small side. We ordered cod and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce and chicken and chips with 2 gherkins and 2 soft drinks. Cost us 29.40! The price should have Initially been 23.30 when she thought we were taking it away then when we said we wanted to eat it in she slapped on £6.10!! That’s over 20% of the bill !!!! Absolute joke

Good service. Really nice fish and chips. We ordered large chips but the portion size was on the small side to what I expected and from what I can see in other reviewers pictures. They had to make my fish fresh and were nice and quick.

We first had food from this restaurant on on 2019 August September as we were on our honeymoon. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and its one of the special moments we cherish about esstbourne. Bang on perfect chips.

Always good. This is a fish restaurant (and takeaway), don't expect anything more. The food is always top quality, go for the skate for the very best fish & chips possible. Great service from attentive staff, all personal preferences can be accommodated. Popular and busy in the summer too, always a good sign. Recommended. Enjoy and see you there perhaps.

Tasty fish and chips here but I was not happy with the portion size. I ordered the deal of fish and chips plus either mushy peas or curry sauce for £10.50. I thought this would be a good deal for customers but it's a good deal for the owner as the cod had clearly been cut in half and all I got was the one half! The table was also sticky. Could have been a better visit.

Came to Eastbourne Beach for the weekend and had fish and chips from Dolphin Fish Bar. Ordered 2 large and 2 regular cod and chips. Wonderful service and excellent quality fish and chips. Thank you so much. Family loved it. 👌😋👍

I have just ordered 2x cod and chips and asked for extra salt and vinegar. Eating it now and it’s totally dry, no vinegar at all, never mind extra vinegar. So irritating. Sitting on the beachfront eating dried fish and tasteless chips. I’ll try another fish and chips shop next time.

Worst fish and chips ever tried! So greasy and bland. Avoid the veggie burgers and cheese onion pie too, really disgusting! They made the order wrong and also forgot all the sauces and the chips of the “fish and chips”

Dolphin offers the full spectrum of authentic chip-shop pleasures, from steamed steak and kidney puddings to cheese burgers or battered burgers. That aside, the cod, chips & mushy peas were a delight. Batter so fresh the fish is succulent and moist creating an overload of contentment in you’re mouth. If the tartare sauce blenders sachets could be upgraded to a home-made condiment then that would be the best of all!

Excellent fish and chip shop. Just 2 minutes from the seafront and you can get amazing fish and chips. We had the large cod, large chips, sausage in batter, mushy peas and curry sauce. Delicious!!!
