Harry Ramsden's - Eastbourne in Eastbourne

Go to Eastbourne for a little vacation. My friend told me that this restaurant is famous, so why not have a try? Especially when our hotel is very near and takeaway is not expensive.We ordered haddock and also onion wings. Crust is light and crispy. Delicious! I like them much!

Had a portion of fish, chips and gravy(of course). Probably still one of the best fish and chips I've had ever. The fish is so fresh, the oil doesn't have that drenched oil taste you get with most chips and the batter wasn't so thick like most places have more batter than fish. The ratio is perfect. Very yummy and highly recommended.

Totally overrated place! This place is understaffed and the staff are unfriendly. They even don't have canned soft drinks, only on tab, which is not convenient for take out. I've had better fish & chips in London for the same price or even less.

Very poor service. Did not offer full menu. Limited options. App for table service not explained to us who are not technically minded! Making prices up when ordered at the till. Girl was asking other staff as to what to charge us. We will not be back. It was totally different from 2 years ago. Couldn't fault it then. Language barrier too. Very poor communication skills.

When I arrived staffed took me to a table showed me the menu you and told me how to pay at the counter. I ordered some fish bites they turned up at my table and they were just beautiful. Everything was cooked to how I like it and I hate every scrap. So I will definitely be returning to this restaurant when I'm on holiday in Eastbourne soon. X

We popped in for Fish and Chips and it was obvious that the 2 staff working clearly did not like each other and this was reflected in the service we received.We were seated in the worst seat in the Restaurant (see picture) this seat is well past it’s sell-by date.The food was actually very good. Shame about the staff and the seat

As I said . I can understand you don't have fish cakes but onion rings instead of chips and charging me 16 quid? And 2 bottles of water . And some dodgy mushy peas ????????? Absolute bloody joke . Waste of money big time

Good value restaurant near the sea. The fries, the fish, the soup and the battered sausage are nice. Food came quickly too and the space was well cleaned and sanitised with social distancing. However, the mashed peas and the bread with the soup were bad. They also didn't give us the tartare sauce that should come with the fish and chips.

Nice fish and chips but a 20min wait after joining the queue with only 2 families in front was too long on a Monday night at 6.30.
