New World Chinese in Eastbourne

DON'T ORDER FROM HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE WAITING OVER 1 HOUR 45 MINUTES FOR YOUR WARM MEAL. I ordered from Just Eat last night at 9:23pm and was delivered after 11pm. My house is a 6 minute drive away. The restaurant was also dodgy in logging that my order was sent out to delivery at 10:10pm, when according to the driver was sent out at 10:45pm. On Just Eat, they put it arrived with me at 10:40pm! What a joke! Also, the veggie spring rolls I ordered had 1 duck roll in there. A warning to all veggies and vegans!

If I could give 0 stars I would!! Worst Chinese ever!! Duck was dry, food was cold and took nearly 1.5hours to arrive. Tried ringing (over 50 times) to see where the food was and no answer!! Will never order again

Decided to give it a go even after reading negative reviews! Ordered take away, the lady who took the order was very pleasant, the food came on time . We ordered vegetarian dishes as slightly sceptical after reading the reviews. The food was very oily, bland and the vegetables were watery, didn’t taste Chinese at all. The vegetable chow mein was low to average, the cost should have been cheaper for the minimum we ate. Definitely wouldn’t have ordered the non vegetarian! Very disappointed , and would not recommend.

So many bad reviews about late deliveries. The takeaway restaurants are very busy at the moment, some deliveries will be late due to the pandemic!!!. So far my deliveries have been on time so I can't fault this restaurant, and the delivery service. The food taste delicious! it's one of the best Chinese takeaway I've had for along time. Especially the A3 set meal. go give it a try.

Food arrived quickly but was inedible and feel would have been very ill if had eaten this Chicken balls were grey and mushy inside, other chicken was undercooked and pink All the food had a strange grey colour and bad smell and did not look fresh at all,.Phoned the restaurant the manager was very polite and immediately refunded me. Would not recommend this place!

Food is great, but delivery is SO SLOW. I ordered 1 hr and 45minutes ago, still no food delivery. No one answering the phone either. Reluctantly this will be my last order with New World.

Honestly wouldn't have even given 1 star if I had the option, ordered food at 6pm and was told would arrive by 6.55. At 7.25 I called and asked how long and was told it was on its way. Half an hour later I called back the girl said its still out for delivery! it would be freezing by the time it got here! The girl was rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. We won't be using again!

Food took 2 hours to arrive. First time I phoned she said it's on it's way obviously without checking, second time I called he apologised but still took a while to come. Food okay but to be honest I was passed wanting it by then.

Our meal was delivered promptly but my meal, fried rice with chili prawns was supremely inedible....the rice a mysterious dark colour and the prawns covered in a white flaky batter and very tasteless and chewy...change the oil and the chef and i may try again.

I'd highly recommend the king prawn chow mein and egg fried rice (obviously). Delivery was quick, food was great, one of the best Chinese takeaways I've had.
