Great coffee, great food and friendly staff

The atmosphere and the good were lovely. However the cutlery were dirty. The forks had dried food in between and I asked for a new one which was the same. It kind of spoiled the experience.

Great value cafe. We ordered a light lunch on a chill Sunday, and this cafe was exactly the kind of cafes we were looking for. Clean, chill and well lit. Food came quickly and was delicious. We had the quiche and we absolutely loved it. The coffee, while cheap, was quite nice too. Staff was also polite and friendly.

I feel bad giving 3 stars to Roots as the staff were friendly, it's in a good location and there is a wonderful setup.On Facebook we heard Roots have a large salad selection. However, upon arriving there was just lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion. I was very impressed to find the potato salad and coleslaw were vegan but my wife and I struggled to find something to have with it. We ended up opting for the jacket potato. To be fair we could have had the vegan bap that contained a sausage patty but we cannot have soya and fancied a tasty salad.Perhaps we were just unlucky today.

Best breakfast in town! Honestly. Very good, quality sausages, well seasoned mushrooms and poached eggs are perfect! Due to unusual circumstances it's worth waiting to get a very good meal. And place has very nice, cozy French vibe.

Homely. Very nice fresh food! They do lots of prepped food in the fridges to take home. All home made which is amazing. Only downside I would say is dated interiors and could be less cluttered as they have lots of random decorations and little space to get In and out of the cafe. Was a bit tricky with covid as well due to the distancing guidelines. Although, apart from that small critique it is lovely and would definitely recommend!Good value for money, good service, fresh food. Only downside is it's a tad cluttered.
