Not the best experience. Our reservation had been lost but they managed to fit us in the garden. Calamari was rubbery, very over done. Pizza was very under done and bland. Wouldn't go back.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting a lot. But I was disappointed. There were two ladies serving, a short lady who was friendly and the tall lady, who didn't seem like she wanted to be there and had a lot of attitude. Didn't smile and plonked the food down in front of us, without even saying anything. We ordered our food and garlic bread as a side. The garlic bread was brought out to us about 10 minutes before our main, so we had to eat it as it would have been cold. The dinner wasn't anything spectacular. I had carbonara with bacon but it didn't really taste of anything. The bacon was barely cooked and the sauce had no taste. Very flavourless. The pizza was a nice dough and it had flavour but it wasn't like "the best pizza ever" or anything. The drinks were very expensive for the size of them and no beers on tap, all small bottles. We found it very expensive in general here for what we got.We have eaten at other places and had very good food; a few alcoholic drinks, main and a pudding for about £60. Here we paid £51.20 for 2 beers, 1 wine and 2 mains. We won't be returning.

Lovely meal and friendly efficient service. The restaurant was full but still nothing was too much trouble. We can recommend the profiteroles which were covered in thick chocolate. We have visited a number of times over the years and are looking forward to our next visit.Thank you to Bes for looking after us so well.

I went there today, Sunday. I ordered a larger portion of the 'starter' calamari dish to make it a main dish with salad. The portion was so big I was eating the calamari without its coating. The salad also was good, fresh with olives. Served to me with smiles, genuine ones. Nice place. Will definitely go again.

The food was really good and I strongly recommend the pizzas and the garlic and mozzarela breads. The staff was not so happy but the service was okay. Really good location close to center and the beach

Lovely small local restaurant serving excellent Italian food. We had visited before when we were staying in Eastbourne earlier in the year. It was worth finding the restaurant again. Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and very generous portions. Great value. We can recommend salmon pasta, gnocchi All Amatriciana and bread and butter pudding. Pizza on previous visit was good. Wine and larger reasonably priced.

We ordered pizza and lasagna - tasted old and stale. From other reviews this place looked good, so perhaps an off day, but I for some reason I didn't tell the staff and now regret not sending food back.

Oh my what a find!!! We have tried to eat here in the past but it is always booked up, however last night we got lucky. The service was outstanding and the food phenomenal! Photos of the seafood risotto and chicken with walnut which were glorious as were our starters and desserts.Very reasonably priced too, we both had starters, mains, desserts, numerous drinks and all under £100.We may have just found our new favorite restaurant in Eastbourne.

We were in town for one night only and decided to dine Italian. We hadn't booked but were invited inside and so glad we accepted.Very pleasant staff who were helpful and attentive. The menu is a varied selection of meat, pasta and seafood dishes and of course pizza. We had a starter of whitebait with a creamy tartare dip, followed by a main of skinless sea bass in a lemon sauce with an accompaniment of potatoes and courgette. For the wine, a bottle of Pinot Grigio...and for dessert Panna cotta with raspberry and peach coulis and Baba chocolata with vanilla icecream.Very satisfying and recommended.
