Shanghai Time in Eastbourne

Disappointing for nearly £40, kung-po chicken which tasted like sweet n sour chicken, no heat or kick to it at all.Special fried rice, hardly any meat so not entirely sure what was special about it...Nearly £5 for a plain egg fried rice and a free gift of prawn crackers. When they say a small bag of prawn crackers as a gift they weren't wrong, 8 prawn crackers in the bag....Not impressed, won't be rushing back any time soon.

Looking for a light and tasty cafe to sit down and have some Chinese soup. Alas only takeaway now. Otherwise 5 star. Very pleasant chap at the front, took our promptly and 10 minutes later we had two huge portions on toast pork noodle soup.Very tasty, but real torture to eat with plastic spoons and chopsticks on the sea front. Challenge accepted and completed.

Ordered this evening, food came quite quickly and was pretty hot . But sadly the egg fried rice was inedible, tasteless and stodgy and just tasted of starch. The two other dishes were ok . Sesame prawn toast thick greasy and not much taste at all, felt I had wasted my £37 here , shame as it was for a special treat. Won’t order again from here .

By far the BEST Chinese in town. Really well priced menu and great staff. Highly recommended.

(Can be seen in the photo!) They have actually added SUGAR!!! granules to my shredded smoked chicken (not smoked at all). I’ve also ordered chicken with green pepper and black bean sauce and it smelled like dirty feet. The food was not tasty at all! Had to throw away most of it. Stay away! How does this have such good rating?!

Amazing food, came across this family takeaway on our way back to our hotel, everything was cooked perfect and the service was friendly and welcoming. Crispy duck, egg fried rice,chip, curry sauce, smoked chicken. Perfect, will definitely be returning.

Ok. I eat out. A LOT (Hello ladies!). I'm also someone who cooks a massive selection of food so I know my stuff. This is hands down the best Asian restaurant/take out in Eastbourne. Be sure to check out some of the specials as the chef(s) here REALLY know their stuff. The staff are amazing and if there's ever a problem they'll make it better.

Delivery only currently.. but this is a great place for take out especially for a family meal.. loads if choice.. chicken balls are amazing.. duck also outstanding, all rices and noodles I've had so far have all been perfect, it costs a bit more than a kebab or burger etc but its so worth it! I like to eat what I can and save the rest for the next day.. so works out almost 2 dinners when I order enough roughly for one person. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family 100%.

Excellent meal delivered by just eat from this restaurant. Really good food and menu choice. Ordered late morning with a set time, arrived spot on time and piping hot. Really enjoyable.

Thanks so much for authentic shanghai food in big portion with reasonable price. The sweet and sour ribs is definitely on the top of must-try list: juicy chewy, and rich in flavour.
