"The safety and welfare of our patients, their families and our workforce is our number one priority. The patients we support in our Inpatient Unit are clinically extremely vulnerable and include some with Covid-19. We recognise the importance of family members being able to visit their loved ones while in the hospice. However, to reduce the risk of infection and transmission, we are currently only allowing restricted visiting to our Inpatient Unit at the present time. Please see the statement on our website for more information "

My Mum passed away yesterday in her own home with her husband of 70 years holding her hand my dad's wishes, it was because of St Wilfreds this was made possible. They were amazing, supporting me and dad every inch of the way for 2 weeks ..night and day.. I'm so truly grateful. Thank you to all staff..you really are all Angels x

Caring for my husband wonderfully, nothing is too much trouble. I am so pleased that he was able to come to this amazing Hospice. It gives me so much peace of mind.

To those who spend time criticising this Charity, you would be better off offering your services and helping out. Criticism is easy, care requires effort.

Thankyou so much for the love and care you gave my sister, the care you gave her was beyond words.

I recently tried to donate some of my late mother's furniture to local good causes. I emailed the 'retail team', as per their website, asking if they would like my donation (including photo's). Eventually, I received a bland, un-professional response, not answering my question and suggesting it was up to the 'van driver' whether they would collect the items.Feeling totally devalued, I copied the email to their 'training' department asking if they thought this response was appropriate and complied with their Core Values. Obviously after several weeks I have not had a reply. My advise is to donate to AgeUK they seem to have staff who care about and value donors.

Within the last six months the hub has gone down hill with the same stock being on the shelves for months mainly because it's well over priced and little or no new items appearing. Was told that the good items were on eBay? Well I have looked and apart from the odd item I have not seen anything.Heard the some one was selling items via Battle auction rooms under their own name?

Nice place to have a nice cuppa and the bite to eat very difficult to park in the week literally gets chock-a-block

I've never fully used the services here, but the staff are amazing and gentle and offer the best of care to those you love

St Wilfrid's cared for my sister Sarah for the last four weeks before she died at the hospice. Through all that time, every member of the staff - both professional and volunteers - were truly wonderful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah, whatever the time of day or night. After her funeral, St Wilfrid's was more than happy to let us hold her wake in the family area at the end of The Street. Everyone made our family and friends - including two very small and very mobile children - tremendously welcome, and provided us with a delicious buffet of sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee. Thank you to everyone at this happy, light-filled and peaceful place. You will be in our thoughts and prayers for always. Richard & Susan.

The people at St. Wilfrids were wonderful helping my wife Nicky through her last few days - she had been so frightened of spending those last days in a n anonymous hospital bed and I was allowed a camp bed by her side for those last hours making things as good for her as could possibly be in the circumstances
