I would like to thank all of the staff for an absolutely wonderful meal that we had there today, its got to be the best meal that we've had out and we've eaten at a few places. Top class.

What a lovely venue..quaint and quirky decor! Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced.well worth a visit. This was our first time ,but our friends have been several times and never been disappointed. Check their offers which change regularly, some are super value!

We went for the mother's day meal. There were three time slots available.Ours was the middle one.On arrival our table was still in use although it was the appropriate time. The waitresses were excellent and quickly cleaned the floor and tables and prepared the area for our large group. There were positive and negatives about this visit. The negatives being having to ask constantly for missing drinks from our order, a long wait to order desserts and an even longer wait to pay. There was definitely a staff shortage but nobody doing set jobs to keep things moving. On the positive we all enjoyed our meals and there were empty plates all round.Would definitely visit again as great value for money and the little one's enjoyed the play area.

When I went inside to order I was rudely told to go outside, around the corner and to order from a window. When I eventually found the window I stood there for 5 minutes waiting for someone. My veggie burger was absolutely disgusting. Deep fried vegetable patty (the kind you’d get 20 years ago when there was only one veggie option) in a dry, white bap. No relish, sauce or onion. 7 chips on the side and a few bits of lettuce! Absolute rip off for £10.00.My friend’s nachos were hilarious; basically a bag of Doritos with a bit of white sauce (not sure what it was or what it was supposed to be) squirted on the side. No cheese, sour cream or cheese.Lovely setting but avoid at all costs 🤢

Very good value pub food. Big portions, small price. The best bit is the table service staff, extremely polite, efficient and helpful. Could go here every night for dinner. Very well done

We brought my 82 year old dad for a birthday meal. He really enjoyed his meal, as did my vegan daughter in law. Good food, lots of choice and great value. We would definitely visit again. Even the toddlers were happy!

Great selection on Boxing day when we attended. More expensive than the normal menu but fully understandable because of the holiday period.Good service and very friendly aswell...All in all I would happily go back...P.S. if it has been raining do not wash your car before your visit, it is a very narrow road with a good deal of mud and puddles in this weather...

Staff were lovely but my god the food is absolutely dreadful. I had roast chicken. The veg had been boiled or microwaved for so long it was mush. The roast potatoes deep fried. The chicken was not from a roast chicken but some sort of frozen breast. The gravy was thick and gloopy with no flavour like you’d get in school dinners…sorry that’s an insult to school dinners. Absolute rip off, £10 for main course of cheap slop. I’ve also added a photo of my Camembert starter, with fried bread Christmas tree and for some reason two bits of bread. I think the photo says it all. It made me chuckle when I noticed they’d sprinkled something over it for “presentation”. This wasn’t just my meal, everyone I was with had similar. It was so bad it was laughable. I would liken it to the sort of food you get in a truckers cafe... Except way more expensive.

When I was told we were having our Christmas Dinner at the star, I wasn't blown away. I had eaten here a few years ago (more like 10, thinking about it!). I couldn't of been more wrong. Staff were great and so was the food and drink! Had a lovey time. Came away 100% happy with the choice to have our Christmas day meal there. Will be going back.
