The Boathouse in Eastbourne

Lovely breakfast. The most devine hot chocolate ( and I'm picky) with marshmallows. Lovely staff and view. Oh and importantly dig friendly.

***EDIT March 2022***We used to love this place for lovely salads and food until we have been turned down on two occasions. One Sunday they only had a very limited menu and one Saturday we have been told that there is NOT ENOUGH FOOD FOR MORE CUSTOMERS 🤣 What sort of restaurant runs out of food on Saturday at 3pm?!********************************We absolutely loved it! Such a refreshment in comparison to the rest of places in Eastbourne. Food looks great, very appetising and tastes delicious! Very nice interior and fantastic views through the large windows. We'll definitely come back for more!

Perched at the edge of the lake this place offers amazing views across the waterfront with plenty of swans to admireAmazingly friendly greeting by my server as I walked in and consistently pleasant experience throughoutInside this place is a lot bigger than it looked from outside and based on the number of bums on seats it’s very popularFood was delicious and came as a good sized portion to fill a hungry bellyDidn’t get to try a happy ending but will return to give it a go

Been meaning to try this place for ages. Didn't disappoint. Had a fabulous brunch and tried their famous hot chocolate. It was all delicious.

The best roast dinner you will ever have!! Fantastic quality food. Really cool decor and a lovely atmosphere. The ultimate sharing roast is just a brilliant idea.My first visit to Perch in Eastbourne and it was a great experience.The team were so welcoming with one team member who stood out in particular with her enthusiasm. It's so rare at present to get such great service, and I would be lucky to have them on my team.We will be back.

On a cold December day the place looked deserted as there where no cars in the carpark only a motorbike. After walking around the princes park lake looking at the small boats being sailed by grown ups we saw people inside. We went to the outside toilets which are great for park walkers, then stopped for a coffee and cake which was really nice. Staff where friendly but we were disappointed that the cafe looked closed, I bet they loose a lot of passing trade because of this

After a nice walk around the Princess Park we went back to Perch for a coffee and a snack. After a warm welcome from the team and looking at the great options on the menu we ended up having a delicious lunch and a spooky Halloween themed salted caramel hot chocolate. We will definitely be returning back to try all other great menu options.

Always very good food.Most recently stopped off for the limited edition Halloween Hot Chocolate and it was amazing. Lots of cream, caramel syrup and yummy honeycomb, with the cutest Halloween marshmallows. Would highly recommend you have one whilst you can!

Came for an evening meal with my wife. Was surprised by how busy it was considering this is a destination restaurant in the middle of the park, there is no walk by trade.The service was impeccable from beginning to end without being overbearing.Food was lovely, very tempted to lick the plate!

Initially I wasn't impressed with the lack out outside seating in a shaded area. Essentially there is none, and on a hot day like today 7th Sept 2021, that's too much.There are some outside shaded seats, but that only for 'takeaway', not eat in, which seems odd. However the manager understood our position and let us sit in the takeaway shaded area.After that everything was amazing. Food was delicious and flawless. The manager was kind and friendly.Perhaps the option of some sun shades in their outside seating area would not be a bad idea.
