The Cricketers Arms in Eastbourne

Excellent service at this lovely pub with a lovely front garden.A long time since I've experienced bar staff invested enough in what they are doing to hold glasses to the light to ensure sparkling before pouring wine, plus friendly obliging service. 10/10 We only had filled ciabattas for a light meal, and they were great. We will return.

Eight of us dined there last night and what a pleasant surprise! Lovely decor, (real flowers on the table) very clean and fresh, no loud music, friendly warm welcome, good choice of menu, excellent food and well priced! Will definitely be back!

A great Harvey's pub the beer eas kept well.We have a great lunch which was fairly priced. The portion sizes were very good. If you want to eat I suggest you book. As I suspect that this pub will be busy in the summer. Check opening times and if the kitchen is open as they are on a winter schedule at the moment

What a lovely surprise! We had just been for a walk around Cuckmere and were looking for a bite to eat and happened upon this lovely pub.We were greeted straight away by the lovely lady that runs the Cricketer, who was very friendly.It was cold outside so was great to see the fireplace warming the place up inside!I was the pie of the day which was venison and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Perfect pastry too! My other half had scampi served with some gorgeous triple cooked chips.The prices were good too!We’ve been to a lot of country style pubs but this one really ticked all the boxes…including being dog friendly…really put a big smile on our face!Thanks

Lovely pub! We stopped here for lunch and a pint on our country walk and were very happy with our decision. The homemade chips were really good, definitely recommend. We both enjoyed our burgers as well.

Have been coming to this pub for around 30 years.Having moved away from Sussex some 12 years ago we return at least every winter to check out Harvey's Old Ale.Had a very late lunch and Old today and would say the beer, food and service was excellent and as good as I can ever remember.Thanks my favourite pub!

We went to the Cricketers Arms last night for a meal. My husband had the vegan burger, me the cheeseburger and banoffee pie for pudding. The food was really good, reasonably priced & the chips were spectacular. My husband really rated the vegan burger, it’s hard to find a decent vegan burger in pubs. The pub is warm, the owners are really friendly and service was quick. We will be returning soon 🙂

Great to see that is under new management after the terrible experience we had with the previous new owner. ( Peter was there for 24 o 25 years and was the best pub but he retired and a new landlord took over) we heard changed hand again so decided to try. I gave 4 stars only because we haven't eaten here yet definitely we will next time. Great service and atmosphere. Thanks
