Lovely pub and the grub was good, staff were very friendly and helpful. Landlord was a very polite and friendly person, the pub was very clean and decor immaculate, highly recommend this establishment.

Great decor inside, aged wooden paneling and modern wallpapers either side. Themed on... You guessed it, marine interior design.!Cozy uninhibited feel to the very spacious sized area. Staff have a laid back casual air but seemed on top of their game. Hidden gem in my opinion just off the main Eastbourne centre. Food is top notch with a fresh aroma from the kitchen.. (not overwhelming or stuffy) unlike usual pub fare.

Great food, drink choices, friendly staff and always made to feel welcome. I would def recommend to anyone that hasn't already been there.

A superb meal that was as filling and tasty as it looks. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit

Haven't been to this pub since the 1970s!! Reason, I don't live in Eastbourne anymore!! But I wasn't disappointed, met up with some school friends from the past, and we all had a good meal and drink. Decent food, friendly staff, nice pub.

Have been there only in the evenings to be welcomed into a warm and cosy atmosphere. Soft ambient lighting and traditional decor. Harvey's Best Bitter always on tap apart from a good selection of other drinks. Friendly staff and lots of table space. Haven't tried their pub grub so can't comment. Definitely my favourite pub on Seaside.

We went here with our 2 young girls for lunch today. It's worth booking a table as it gets busy! We ordered 2 kids fish fingers and chips and 2 cheese burger meals with 1 portion of chips for my wife and I. That was ample as the portions are excellent. The food was really good (really tasty chips especially!) and the service was excellent. The food arrived quickly but not un-nervingly quickly if you know what I mean!Lastly, this time of year is the best time to go as the decorations for Christmas are a sight to behold! If you're in Eastbourne on the sea front and you want tasty guys which is cheap as chips (literally) and really friendly service, head to The Marine!

The welcome was lovely , I was seated inside , they did have hand sanitizer, screens between tables. The waitress was friendly, bought menu to table .we had to order at the counter which was busy chaotic, felt very rushed . The pub was decorated beautifully, it was very warm inside , the lighting was very dim were I sat, I could hardly read the menu. The mains I ordered & my friend were lamb shank , new potatoes, veg it was a reasonable portion .my friends chicken meal was like a child size ,very poor indeed it looked awful against my plate. The dessert we both ordered chocolate fudge cake with custard, I tasted my first mouthful cake was delicious, the custard was cold what a disappointment. I had to wait to pay ina queue were everyone was ordering food/ drinks for a long time . Alot of things could be done better , alot of people passing by constantly while I was eating, in these covid times , not good atall. I think you must limit walk ins ,it felt too crowded ,chaotic for me not a relaxing experience atall. I took advantage of eatout to help out because for the portions , I would not pay their prices too expensive.

Great pub with a real traditional feel. Really nicely layout and furnishing in a proper pub style. Food is really good here with a good menu choice. Service is always spot on. Always worth a visit during the Christmas period, the lights are amazing. One of the best pubs in Eastbourne.
