We came here a few years back. Seemed like a nice up and coming pub with food that was going to cater for a lot of choice. Sadly after the pandemic the motivation has declined. Vegan options went down from a good choice to two. If you don’t like burgers or a vegan cheese salad you are out of luck. Price wise it was reasonable for what you got.

Very good selection of ales cask and Keg , Longman brewery had four ales and these are highly recommended, the food was good .The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The young lady was very helpful especially when we visited it was busy. When I asked for our table to be cleared and cleaned she was straight on it..Prices for cocktails are reasonable.Would recommend a visit ..

Popped in here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Really impressed with the quality of food and how relaxed it was. Large rump steak, chips and a glass of wine for £15. Amazing. Great views of Devonshire Park too.

My Wife and I met for lunch with friends at The Stage Door Pub. We experienced very good service, attractively, well presented, good quality food and well kept beers. The Monday Beer and Burger lunch deal is great value at £12. Not your average cheap meat and indifferent filling but good quality meat and fresh well presented, freshly cooked food. Our group of six tried different menu items and were equally pleased with the substantial food presented to each of us. Well done Stage Door and your pleasant staff.

Had a very enjoyable lunch at The Stage Door pub before going to the Devonshire Park theatre next door. Friendly, prompt, service in good time to get to the theatre. Although I am not vegan, I had the vegan burger, which was very tasty. There were plenty of non-vegan options on the menu I should add, all of which looked good.

We popped in to @stagedoorpub for a quick lunch.Tasty, well cooked and presented burgers. I'm a burger person and it's not so easy to please me 😀 you can see that chef love his job as all ingredients stacked perfectly and aligned. Well done team! Thank you

I love this pub , the staff are very friendly , the food is good 👍 i love the music ,we even got to meet the chef 👨‍🍳 very dog friendly. They spoilt Irina with lots of dog treats. Even the handy man made a fuss of her. We were made to feel very welcome 😁

Very nice decor and atmosphere. Was very pleasant to visit post theatre as not overly crowded (not sure if this was to do with the very bad weather though). Manager very friendly and chatty, but 1 star knocked off for very sullen other member of staff on duty. Would definitely go back again.

Cracking pub serving up great beers and ciders from nearby breweries. The rear space is a superb area with plenty of light and a nice view.

Not the biggest pub in the world, but the view from the back of the tennis are amazing. Staff were very friendly and gluten free sandwiches for £6.50 are most welcome.
