Today I Witness the Manager Phil refusing a mother of a child a high chair as it breached safety regulation. The family were seated in a corner so had no impact on the other two tables. The child was then refused a plate as he didn’t have a seat. What should have been an enjoyable meal became stressful for all concerned. The mother had to balance the child on her lap while she tried to eat her meal.Totally disgraceful. While we were having our meal the waitress came over to our table demanding for I.D as my sixteen year daughter was drinking cider which was my husbands drink as well as the Guinness. She grabbed the drink and told us she was under age and was very rude with it and we demanded to see the manager. The manager Phil was very Passive Aggressive, towards us and the two tables that came to our defence. I understand the waitress and the Manager was only following the rules however both lacked customer service skills. We did not buy the drink intentionally for my daughter to drink as we ordered water for her so to take the drink away was equally wrong.Your manager needs to urgently update his customer service skills so I advise the company to do this quickly before you lose more trade. The car very itself poor , no turkey, no pork. We had to ask four times for our cutlery, service slow.Don’t deserve 1 star

I'm not sure how Toby Carvery stays in business when the wait for service is so long. First the wait for someone to meet you, then the wait while the computer wakes up to find a table, then the absence of any waiter. Long enough to wait and decide to write this review. Six months later I went again, only to find the place full with some half price special, which just meant more waiting, less food available, and no service for the full price paying customer!

Toby carvery I am disappointed with the service attitude on the door because we didn’t book a table took long time for our meal received a Malibu and coke with ice and asked no ice. The meal is a good portion but I do think the peas should be steamed longer as I nearly chocked on it. The pie was dry and hard would not come back I am sorry

Beautiful meats at the carvery, Service was great I would definitely recommend. They did seem a little short staffed though. Great value! Hopefully will come again when I can.

We were seated immediately for our 1pm booking, service was good. I am not a meat eater but my sister said it was not as good as their usual standard, I had a Broccoli and Brie pie, sorry got that wrong I had a pie, there was very little of the ingredients inside. On arrival we tried to use the sanatiser machine at the front door it was empty, then i went to the bathroom and there was no soap in the dispenser. In view of the rising cases of Covid & standard hygiene I think they should be checked every hour.Toby Carvery do a good job normally, sadly we had a one off bad experience (I hope).

Fantastic value for money! Great food. Only reason for 4 stars is the service is a little slow. However this could be down to how busy it gets. But friendly staff and nice food

The food was good, apart from the roast potatoes which were hard and dry. Also they only had one chef serving and he (bless him) had to eun in the kitchen to get top ups, it took forever to get served. I am disabled and it was painful to stand such a long time

Annoying that 2 of the 4 meats had sugary glazes, not good for a diabetic so made the choices restrictive.Only sugary desserts available. I could have had a small ice cream but they had none. Offered me sorbet as "low sugar" but it was so sweet I only ate one mouthful and had to run to the toilets to spit it out and it made me feel quite ill and ruined the meal.Very good service though.

Nice warm greeting from Karla at the door. Sat down quickly which was great. Service was smooth and efficient. The meet options were great, perfect portion size from the chef, 2 of our table went for the XL and it certainly didn't disappoint. Overall food quality was fantastic. We then ordered deserts which were equally as good! Lovely visit and will definitely be coming again very soon!
