Delighted we found this pub. Stopped off for dinner without a booking on a Friday night and they were very accommodating. Great food, lively atmosphere and they made a great fuss of our puppy. We'll be back soon

After hearing about the previous landlord I never thought I would visit this public house in Horton Heath however upon request of a meal out I thought I would give it a try and I am pleased I did.I rang the establishment to book a table which was in the bar area as the restaurant was fully booked. The booking was easy and straightforward. We arrived at the said time and was taken to our table. A drinks order taken and given soon after. The selection on the menu includes the classic fish and chips, and lasagna however there is also a specials board. The servers were friendly and all food that was ordered came in a good amount of time. The quality of the food was very good, homemade and with a good sized portion. This is not a cheap place to eat however it is not expensive either. We enjoyed a three course meal and a couple of bitter shandy’s.The place is clean looking and I could not find fault with my experience. If you are passing by and would like to try this place please do as I’m sure you will not be disappointed. Please don’t be put off by tales of the old landlord for he is long gone so please give this place a chance to reassure you.

Best plate of nachos I've had. They were busy, but still managed to seat us for lunch. Service speed was reasonable for how busy they were. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great lunch. We all had the fish and chips which was lovely.. Had the sticky toffee pudding and after eight sundae for dessert, absolutely delicious. The young man serving us was exceptional.

·

Enjoyed the food and beer. Good size portions with smaller sizes on the menu. Dog friendly, but advisable to book, if eating.

Very nicely decorated and cosy pub with friendly staff, extensive menus and delicious food. We were in the area on a work trip- doing a recce of Marwell Zoo before we take our Year 1 classes. As soon as we walked in we knew we wanted to stay and even though they were super busy the staff squeezed us in and we really appreciated it. I would recommend booking for lunch so you don't have to chance it like us and you will not be dissapointed 😉

Very cozy place. People were nice. The pizza 🍕 we ordered wasn’t so bad. Toilets very clean and good parking available.

What a wonderful evening we had last Thursday. The braised beef and cheese cake was mouth watering and served hot, which considering there were 16 of us was exceptional. Fantastic atmosphere and lovely friendly staff, who all had face masks on when approaching the table. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Good local pub, clean and well kept. Main meal 3 courses for group of 4 cost £120 with 2 rounds drinks. All very tasty with no long waits. Staff all attentive and efficient. Menu quite limited, no specials board.
