Stay away from this shop , dirty and tasteless chicken chowman, previous owner was much better don’t waste your money , dog even don’t eat their food , delivery very late and I would not use my money with them I would just bin my money rather than giving to them . No english at all, can’t understand when you complain .

Won't be ordering from here again; my Special Chow Mein had no pork & 2 prawns.

I had egg fried rice with duck and barbecue sauce barely 2 mouthfuls of duck and the chicken chow mein was the blandest I've ever tasted with the tiniest pieces of chicken, will not be returning

What has happened used to be a good and consistent take away but the chicken chop suey delivered yesterday looked disgusting when I took the lid off with processed squares of chicken and globules of light brown gunk. Went straight in the bin. Chow mien next, looked like you would give it ago albeit very dark in colour one mouthful in the bin. I will not waste money here again

Without doubt the blandest Chinese I have ever ordered, absolutely no taste. The chow mien was tasteless, the “special” fried rice was dry and very short on meat & prawns. Majority of it went in the bin. Extremely disappointing as this once was head & shoulders above any local Chinese takeaway. Previously used the Canton since 1990, will not be going back.

Canton House used to be so good but since the business changed hands the quality of the food has gone downhill. We had a takeaway tonight, the food was tasteless and barely warm. Singapore noodles had no spice or flavour, nor did the chicken chow mein. Chicken balls Hong-Kong style flavour came from the sweet and sour sauce. The BBQ ribs were dry, lacked flavour and were almost cold. Such a fantastic reputation appears to be going down the drain. We will not use this establishment again.

We have ordered food from Canton House a few times recently and it has been ok. I would not say it was the best we have ever eaten from a take-away but it was defiantly more than acceptable. Hence the repeat orders.Most of our food today was perfectly fine but one item was totally dreadful. The Chicken Chow Mein smiled really bad when I opened the food container. A small taste confirmed it was not right and we decided to throw it away.I rang to inform them of the issue and was offered a discount of my next order. I realise that sometimes things go slightly wrong and I might normally consider the offer but the item of food was truly awful and I do not feel comfortable ordering from them again.

The food was really bland. Thought I'd give this one a go and was bitterly disappointed its over priced. The hot and sour soup had no heat the chow mein was tasteless and the pancake roll was all pancake. Honestly give this one a wide birth

Highly recommend as one of the best Chinese takeaways we’ve had in a long time. We order regularly from here and it’s our favourite Chinese takeaway. 👍Food is of a consistently high standard. Always fresh, hot and tasty,Excellent service.

Have been using this Chinese for over 25 years. And would recommend it to anyone. Excellent food , fast friendly staff.and there spare ribs are to die for. Updated 16-03-2019. This takeaway has recently been taken over, the original owners having retired. The new owners whilst being very friendly are nothing to do with the original owners and unfortunately the quality has suffered. It's still ok but not as good.
