Pulled up in car, was busy. Asked if could put another table out. 4 breakfast & drinks, even a sausage for the dog... Lovely must try the food... Service great.... As well

Legendary bakery (to Boyatt Wood residents), it's a bit retro; you won't be finding Instagram worthy artisan sourdough or chia seed muffins here, but this place offers true old fashioned comfort food in many varieties. Always well staffed, minimal waiting times even at peak hours and decent value. Matt's has cured many a hangover, fed hungry tradesmen, brought friends together for a coffee and so much more for over three decades and you'd like to think it will always be a part of the neighborhood.

In one word DRY.All of the sandwiches fillings looked as though they had been out over night, there was dried filling all around the edges of the tubs. We has a bacon roll the roll was lovely, the bacon was dry. The very young girl serving looked as tho she had just been dragged out of bed and had slept in her platted braids, she was ether exhausted or stoned.

Had a lovely visit here today. Pleased to report all staff were smiling 😜. The hot chocolate was a work of art and thank you for the unexpected cake, which was delicious. I can definitely recommend this place for an enjoyable pit stop. Thank you. 😊

Very slow service - not enough staff when I visited. Coffee was OK but assumed I wanted a large cup - never asked me. This is a pet hate of mine - if they have different sizes they should ask which size you want.
