Master Builder in Eastleigh

Visited this place for my friend weeding, and from its charming location to very welcoming staff it was the perfect place to be.Big shout out to one of the member of the bar staff that went a out of his way for me and my friend for us to have a nice cup of tea outside "in cold". From bringing the coffee to our table to switching outdoor heating lamps and even of trying to find us some blankets he was very caring, generous and pleasure to talk to - a lot of people could learn a lot from him.

Stopped for lunch, very very expensive (£35 for 2 courses was the only option, and that only had 4 mains).Service was very slow, even though it wasn’t that busy. We didn’t get offered any more drinks and had to ask for tea and coffee at the end. We had 5 different waiting staff throughout the lunch.The table next to us stayed messy from the previous occupants for 45 minutes before it was cleared.Lovely view and location but definitely won’t eat there again.

We had great stay here. The staff were lovely and very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant meals were great and delicious. The room was very clean. They have there own parking which was great. The only draw back is they put a 8 percent service charge on drinks that you get from the bar which I think is a bit too much as you have to get somebody to serve behind the bar. Maybe they might change there policy on this. But all in all great.

Dropped in to the Master Builder’s Hotel for lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The location, environment and food were all very nice and we had a lovely lunch. My wife had the Pan Fried Corn Fed Chicken Breast whilst I had the Double Aberdeen Angus Burger. Really enjoyed both, although the homemade burger relish had a little too much mustard in for my taste.It was a quiet(ish) lunch service but we did get forgotten about when it came to choosing a dessert. We were left with the menu, but no one came back to take our order in 15 mins, after which our appetite had passed. That said, overall the service was good, and the team were lovely so I’m not deducting a star.

A stunning hotel within beautiful surroundings. Service was outstanding from all staff. Hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable. Food was top class. Highly recommend this gem.

This review is for the indoor pub area - AVOID at all costs. The staff are beyond disengaged yet add a service charge for pouring 2 drinks at the bar (didn’t even tell me it was added until I had asked once I noticed that for 1 double gin & tonic and 1 beer it was £20!!!). Ridiculous expensive prices for rude staff and dull atmosphere.

A stunning location. Great food and room. Really helpful staff, the wonderful receptionist showed us three rooms before we picked the one we wanted (it was January!)

Beautiful surroundings. Amazing stay in a great location with so many lovely walks. In the evening we sat by the fire enjoying a glass of wine. Lovely meal. Room was beautifully quirky with a view of the river. Staff couldn't have tried harder to ensure we had a lovely time. Very covid secure in our opinion.

A lovely place to stay. Our room was upgraded free of charge. It was clean and comfortable. The reception staff, bar staff and waiting staff were attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Emma and the guy in the bar whose name we didn't catch, who was knowledgeable about whisky

If you plan to stay here, don't be fooled by thinking that their 'posh classic' rooms offer anything that is at all akin to the dictionary definition of posh, which states "stylish, or luxurious". These are small basic rooms that are way overpriced at £175 for Friday and Saturday nights.My recommendation, forget the location, go somewhere, that markets their rooms honestly.
