Shamblehurst Barn in Eastleigh

As a Hungry Horse, it's what it is. Great value, and plenty of choice. As a pub that advertises its array of real ales; again it was a selection of 1. Maybe change your kind offer to "enjoy our wide selection of an ale"? That said, it was well kept, and very tasty!

Went here on a recent Sunday with the family. Meals were moderately alright I suppose. 2 had Sunday roasts, no chicken available so substituted by turkey which was just lumps badly cooked. I had gammon which came less pineapple ring and less onion rings. Think on balance will give it a miss for further gatherings.

We come here often and really enjoy the chilled atmosphere as well as the food and service. We visited today for my husband's birthday and would just like to say that Amy was a super member of staff and a real asset to the company! She was polite, helpful and knowledgeable! Thankyou all for doing such a great job!

We tried to book a table in the restaurant at 2pm for 7pm and were told they could not cater for us as they were fully booked, they basically told us to give up trying and leave. the staff were incredibly rude, we felt like an inconvenience being there and seemed to be such an issue for us to book a table. apparently there was no way of them checking the bookings, which seemed very unrealistic. We came for dinner in the evening, after being told we won’t be able to book because they were full, to a practically empty restaurant - we arrived at around 7:30pm. The food was okay, however the service was awful. The staff made us feel very unwelcome except our waitress who had long blonde hair. She was approachable and very professional. the rest of the staff who served/interacted with us were very unprofessional and rude. would not recommend this place for enjoyable service.

Brilliant! Amy, Molly,Alicia,Chris and Jeremy provided excellent service (I asked for the names as I was so impressed). Food tasty and hot. I will be back as Arnie would say🤣

I never review but I’m so angry with how this lady was to us that I felt I needed to.We came here for some food, first time I personally have been here in about 10 years. It’s a good place for cheap quick food.We came in to sit down and we thought we could just find a seat but accidentally didn’t realise we had to book.We apologised for this and they let us stay anyway. (Wasn’t busy in the first place)They explained that the kitchen is closed till 4 and that was all they said.We ordered through the app at about 3:45 as then it’ll be on the screen for when they are ready to reopen. We thought we were doing the right thing.So about 2 minutes later a lady in red uniform with short bob type blonde hair comes over and begins to have a massive rant. Didn’t give us a time to apologise or explain, instead she decided to continue to raise her voice which I thought was very disgusting behaviour towards your guests.She obviously needs to check on her attitude as I have never been so shocked by a workers behaviour. Next time maybe explain in a better manor and not be so rude!Completely ruined our afternoon to just pop out and have some good with friends.Greene king need to really check on their staff.

Booked table for 645 got there on time and was told to just find a table which was fine ordered drinks then started to ordered food only to be told kitchen was closed at 7 after I had ordered and paid by the app they said she didn't know we were going to order food. Seriously the waiting staff knew we had booked to eat should have been notified before ordering at the leastWe should have been told before we got there they had my email and phone number.So we had to get a refund and find somewhere else

The staff was very friendly & the food was fast & piping hot. Definitely my new restaurant from now on so I say thankyou for a great service.

When i eventually got served by a very busy barman i ordered drinks, then after looking at the menu i had to wait a while again to get served i was told that there were about seven meals unavailable but managed to get something in the end. After waiting forty five minutes we got our meals but had to ask for cutlery and condiments. Whilst there i needed the toilet only to be faced with a disgusting site that i know has been like this for weeks. 100% of urinals out of use, 50% of basins in use and the one and only cubical was disgusting. I will not ever be going back there and would recommend the same to anyone else.

Chicken was awful! Staff didn't care about their customer's and didn't check on us until table was cleared! No cutlery brought with food, no napkins or condiments. Freezer and backup freezer had broken down so no ice-cream for dessert! Main meal had no jacket potatoes or any veg as alternative for GF. Piled plate up with enough salad for a goat! Tea was awful! Good latte! Table of 6! Very dissapointing as this place had an amazing reputation back in the day! Will not return....waste of money!
