Some people say it was better in the past.... I can't judge but for me it is a very nice pub with good food. And the pizza Ofen is quite impressive. Food and drinks were very nice and the staff was friendly. Great pub / restaurant

Good food, great outdoor 'social pods' for groups to meet with individual heating. Good selection of drinks.Update (29/5/22): visited again on a Sunday and whilst the food was good and the staff were friendly, the portion size of the Sunday roast was disappointing. The beef and pork arrived with two slices of meat but the lamb came with just one very stingy piece of meat. For a £20 roast, I had expected a bit more.

Excellent early family meal. Great pizza for the children. Staff were charming.

My recent visit was to a vastly different pub to the one I've visited before. Gone is the dark and dingy oak interior and shuttered windows to be replaced with an open and welcoming, light-filled gastro-pub.What a transformation! My wife and I hugely enjoyed our meals (Asian sticky beef salad, and boeuf bourguignon) but our 19 year-old son was disappointed with his bacon cheeseburger. Firstly, it was ordered without gherkins but delivered with (one hidden under the patty which he didn't find when removing them), the patty itself was lacking taste and the side of triple-cooked chips were bad (under boiled and over fried, not crispy and rubbery).

Hired a meeting room for the day, we were looked after so well, fresh continental breakfast, hot & cold buffet lunch, endless tea, coffee etc and even cake in the afternoon. Wifi, screen with hdmi, paper & pens supplied, nothing was too much bother for the friendly staff & lovely surroundings. If you're thinking of having an away day for meetings I highly recommend. Thanks for looking after us.

Lovely setting and excellent food, fillet steak cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding was also perfect. Staff very friendly and really good service. Will definitely go back.

Generally really good food, lovely looking pub, friendly staff and ample parking. On one occasion we had to exchange our food but they were very quick to replace the meals and didn't charge for them which was kind.

We made this our lunch stop on our way down to our Weymouth holiday and it was brilliant find! Great food, great service and just a lovely place to chill out and recharge before continuing our journey. If we’re ever in the area again we’d definitely stop in again.

We went for a lovely meal on Thursday evening, we had the hiltonbury burger and the chicken burger, which was delicious and presented beautifully. We sat outside on a day where it was supposed to be raining, but the table outside was well covered and had fairy lights for a nice cosy atmosphere. The tables were also separated enough so that there was a nice distance between other tables, so we felt very comfortable in our space. I can not recommend enough, and will most certainly visit again!

This restaurant has been done up very nicely and the service was good. The pizza oven looks impressive but the pizza itself wasn't to my taste; flavours were good, but the crust was too thin and crispy for me. A side of cheesy truffle chips was very very oily and scorching hot which made them hard to eat. Room for improvement, but my partner liked his steak sandwich.
