Steaks were cold, very small amount of greens which looked old & dried up, we sent blue cheese sauce back because it was not cheese sauce as we knew it, they sent back out 2 very small pots of blue cheese which was very cold and again did not taste nothing like blue cheese to which the chef said that it was the only blue cheese sauce they do. It was definitely nothing like blue cheese sauce. We did not finish our meals, we paid just under £50.00 for our meal with drinks, nowhere near worth the money. Would not go back again or recommend it on the back of that visit.

After being loyal customers for a number of years, we have been very disappointed on our past few visits. Our most recent included waiting an unacceptable amount of time for our only course which was a main and having to visit the bar to get our own drinks due to the lack of service. On the way to the bar, I over hear a waitress swear and explain to her colleague that sheād forgotten to order one of our meals (party of 5 adults) we were not informed at all. The quality of meal has rapidly gone down hill over the past couple of years alongside the fact that the food and alcohol supplies are often low on favourite items (I.e chicken breasts, Gordonās pink gin). One of our party ordered the āchicken house saladā to only be presented with 10 stems of broccoli and 1 chopped tomato in a bowl. Salad? Really? When we consulted the waitress she rolled her eyes and stated that this is what the house salad is and came back with a small bowl of rocket leaves. No dressing, no bed of grains, no lettuce or anything a salad should include. I went for the āsmothered chicken meltā which should more likely be called the ācharcoaled chicken chewy messā. Terrible. I left the venue hoping this disastrous meal was over but unfortunately it gave me a very upset stomach⦠wonāt be returning anytime soon thatās for sure.

Really nice pub, very good food deals. Lunchtime deal is 2 courses for £8.95. I think it might be specific days but the food is really tasty and very cheap. I had a refillable soft drink which was also great value.

Shocking. Used to love the roasts in here but they were missing half of the items when it was served. Potatoes were horrifying and the veg frozen; meat was a minimal portion. No one seems to know anything about beefeater rewards either. Will not be coming back

It's a beefy the decor is as expected. Customer load was very low and service was slower than really should have been. Supply shortages are inevitable at the moment but should be better informed before choosing from menu to be told we don't have that.

We have visited the hut a number of times. We usually enjoy the experience but this weekend the food was a disappointment. Although hot and quite tasty depending on the dish but there was simply not enough food on the plates - poor value for money. For example two members of my family had a prawn dish - consisting of 5 prawns, chips and a sauce that cost over Ā£15 and one had to pay āanotherā Ā£3 for a tiny bowl of vegetables! Another dish had a tiny chicken breast some chips and a small portion of slaw - tasty but not enough food on the plate! What a disappointment. My son and I were still hungry after the main dish and desert. Many restaurants in the UK serve up meagre portions. The Hut appears to be travelling in the same direction.

Very little actual food available as advertised on the menu.No lamb, no ribs, no onion rings served with the steaks as advertised. No mention when food delivered to table, just hoping the customer doesn't notice! Deceitful and unforgivable. They did give the fillet steak for same price as the ribs and another side to replace the onion rings. But really? This is only a Tuesday and very little food left.

First time visit as I was in the area at the time, the service was unprofessional, chefs in the kitchen food quality was average but served hot, chefs wearing dirty uniform and rings and piercings when cooking the food, no basic hygiene observed. The waitresses were under pressure and the whole place not organised, dead environment wonāt be returning unfortunately..

June 2021.First visit since the start of the lockdownLunchtime visit.Change to parking , although still free , your car needs to be registered. This need to be done by using the QR code at reception.Or as on this occasion the member of staff registered our car.Masks worn when escorted to our table and screens around tables.Covid secure and we felt safe.Good service and food was hot, good quality and portion size.October 2019.We have made a number of visits to The Hut. My last review was in May.This visit was on a Sunday , we arrived before 1800hrs, which was the cut off for ordering roast dinners. Sold out much earlier in the day.The food which is more expensive than many other pubs can only described as " alright ".May 2019Return visit, service and staff far more acceptable than our last visit . Quality of the food had improved.Time from ordering food to being served very good, especially as we had ten people on our table. The service had definitely improved since 2018 when it was not very good. This visit showed improvement in the food and trust this improvement will be maintained. All members of the family enjoyed the food and the evening.
