The Prince Consort in Eastleigh
Where is The Prince Consort?

"The Prince Consort is a beautiful Grade 2 listed building that lies in the heart of Netley Abbey village. It has been newly refurbished and offers a light contemporary feel whilst offering the traditional warm welcome of a family run pub. It offers a full range of beers including a choice of real ales and a good selection of wines to suit all tastes. The family friendly restaurant is open 7 days a week and boasts a varied menu of fresh, home cooked food. Sunday Lunch is available and booking is recommended."

No substantive complaints but we just didn't feel welcome and welcomed. Food good and plenty however the room we had was odd! The landlord assured me that he had plans for change. Overall the bedroom was clean and warm and after 6000 miles we enjoyed a land based bed. We will not be returning.

Friendly staff, tasty meals at good prices. Also like that they have no problem with people having a starter as their main meal (my Mum has a very small appetite).

Just came for the food and drink. Pleasantly surprised! We ordered vegetarian food and it was actually pretty good quality (most regular pubs, the veggie menu is a bit underwhelming). Standard and varied selection of ales.

Itās unfortunate I canāt give 0 stars as 1 star is too generous. My family and I were passing through Netley and popped in here for some drinks.. the most uncomfortable atmosphere imaginable. We werenāt welcomed at all and were made to feel like outsiders as though only locals and familiar faces are welcome. Canāt help but feel it had undertones of discrimination against people that donāt look like themselves⦠putting it politely. Wouldnāt recommend at all!

Good value accommodation in a separate building at the back of the pub. Building is quite old, so lots of creaky floorboards, but our room was good for the money and ensuite shower room had been nicely renovated. Nice breakfast. Pub itself was good and we enjoyed drinking and eating in there.

First room was full of damp, water running off walls. Were moved upstairs. Apart from that staff and food were excellent. Hope their refurbishment sorts the damp out. Also dog friendly in bar, breakfast area and in rooms. Would stay again

Fantastic place, happy helpful staff. Great food, the pepper sauce was in my top 5. Actually number 2. The onion rings are fantastic. I had steak and it was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Large portions and the special offer of 2 meals and a bottle of wine is good value. The wine we had was the Chardonnay and I was surprised how good it was. A busy place and the locals are friendly and well behaved.Well done, a fantastic place
