Toby Carvery in Eastleigh

Went here for breakfast for my daughters birthday and we had to wait 10mins as all the food was not yet available. Certain foods came out at different times. Will not be going back there.

Visited regularly just recently and never had a bad meal. The food is always top notch and the staff are fantastic, nothing is ever too much trouble. Would strongly recommend to anyone.

Dry food, ice machine not working, no way to dry you hands in the disabled toilet as the hand dryer broken, bit of a run down building, and the staff seemed very unhappy and quite miserable. Definitely would not recommend.

Having had a voucher for this place I thought that I would take a friend with me to impress. What a big mistake that was.Having had a belly full of various sliced meats over Christmas, we both went for the mushroom and ale pie. We duly asked the waitress for a HOT meat pie and for it to be served on a HOT PLATE. On going up to collect it, it was placed on a COLD plate, which the chef changed after we said about it.On "struggling" to cut into the pie, through the THICK pastry, the contents were hot. So credit where credit due.Unfortunately the Yorkshire puddings were not as good as other restaurants either. We struggled to cut through them, like trying to cut into rubber.I do have a health and safety issue for those of you that go there in the dark. Take a good torch with you.As we was coming out of there we both nearly fell down the steps, not just the once but twice, as there are no lights outside and we thought we was at the bottom of the steps, when we wasn't.

The food I did try was tasty but was limited as too much was dried out as overheld. The carvery deck looked like a bomb had dropped, the chef's were too busy chatting to even give it a clean or wipe down and didn't even bother to refresh the veg which had been sat under the hot plate for far too long and was dried out on the hotplate or under the hot lights. I wouldn't have minded if the place had been packed out with huge queues but there were plenty of staff on and no queues to deal with. Get a cloth out and give the place a wipe down for god sake make the place look presentable. As for the chef's whites I get they get dirty (my partner is a chef) but your Chef's both looked like their whites hadn't been washed in a month!!!!Good job I was starving after a 7hr drive!!!

Everybody knows this is the place to get a hearty Sunday Roast... Great value for money...Best to book a table in advance so not to disappoint, as it is always busy.Kitchen do an amazing job getting the constant delivery of food out, and the chef who cuts the meat, should get a medal for they do...Waitresses are always polite and friendly and very helpful.

Staff here on this occasion were extremely good at accommodating my needs. They got me a table near the carvery itself and they moved the queuing poles so I could manoeuvre my wheelchair easily. Food was hot and in good supply. Beef wasn't tough so that was good. All veg perfectly cooked and tasted good. This place is basically a great carvery and it is what it is. Nothing is out of this world or fancy it is just a basic carvery.

My partner and I went for an early lunch before spending a day at the cinema. The turkey was quite dry and didn't taste great, the beef was absolutely fine but the gammon was a bit fatty, and all three cuts were paper thin slices. The veg was tasty as was the gravy but it did have a skin on when we got to serving, bear in mind this was only around 12pm. Our drinks order was taken as soon as we were at our seats which was good and they were brought to our table whilst we were getting food. Despite that, just over £20 for two roasts and drinks is very decent.

Visited for breakfast, for which it was surprisingly busy for 9.30 on a Tuesday morning, usually a good sign. All-you-can-eat cooked breakfast, plus a decent size orange juice for £7.50, what's not to like?Much like the roasts, it's help yourself, so no service as such to speak of. However, the servery was clean and well-stocked, and the bacon and sausages nicely cooked, not dry for having been sat for ages. Hash browns were a bit limp, and I'd have preferred a choice of freshly cooked eggs, but it's all about the price here.Breakfast Yorkshire puds were a revelation, the gravy less so, but plenty of choice of other bits like tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and so forth. Would've liked to see black pudding too, but nevermind.Definitely one to return too, would go well with a hangover! And kudos to the builders in there having a pint with their breakfast too...

We visited with my disabled Aunt. They read the notes on the booking and made sure we were suitably seated. The staff were very friendly and helpful.It’s difficult serving a car very at the moment yet these guys are managing well and with smiles on their faces.The carvery is lovely with the most tasty and succulent meats to choose from.One complaint! I was extremely full up after the roast dinner but thedessert menu was far too tempting and all I could do afterwards was sleep! 😉Thank you guys! We had a lovely time, we will be back soon.
