Cappadocia in Elmbridge

Great authentic Turkish food not a kebab House. Proper Turkish dishes that take you back to warm holidays and good times! 👍👍👍

We love Cappadocia and are regulars at the Kingston restaurant. We recently visited the Walton on Thames venue and we’re disappointed. Firstly, they had a sign outside advertising their lunch menu with wraps for decent prices but upon entering we were immediately told that they’re not doing those today - it makes me wonder why they had the sign out? Perhaps to lure people in?! Anyway, we were there now so decided to stay. We asked the waiter if there was a possibility we could have a chicken wrap and we also ordered a pide (Turkish pizza). He has mentioned he would check with the kitchen, came back and said it was fine. When the bill came we had been charged £17.50 for a chicken wrap and some rice. I asked the staff why we had been charged so much when ultimately we had received less food than if it were the full main course we had ordered. This was literally daylight robbery, I couldn’t believe it. But they charged that anyway! Due to the principle of this we will never go back.

The positive: The waitresses were very welcoming. The portions were so big that when they came out I thought, how am I supposed to finish this? One Adana kebab would have been enough. There must be a lot of wastage at this place. I'd much rather be served a sensible plate of yummy food. My friend commented that this feels like Man Vs Food. I'm not coming back. The service charge of £9 was added to our bill. Unwarranted.

Amazing! Amazing food and amazing service by our waiter, we didn’t get his name but he was very attentive and helpful all throughout.

Well what can I say. Firstly when we went to discuss our booking we were told there was no space for our dinner and we were not in the book. There was a mix up, but we met the owner when we tried to sort issues out. He personally found a slot for us which was great. The place was beautifully decorated with lots of oriental ornaments. It was cozy and had a good vibe. The waiters were professional and cheerful and went all out to make us comfortable. Now the starters were of such a good portion that some of us were almost full when the food came. The food was well presented and the prices not bad either. We had a great time. The toilets were clean too service was reasonably fast. The meat is well seasoned delicious and they make some mean cocktails.

We were warmly welcomed by friendly staff who made sure we had all we wanted. The meal was nice and tasty, good money's worth.Would definitely call again soon...

First things first - the place looks marvelous. Who wouldn't want a bit of a Winter Wonderland in the heart of Walton-on-Thames?The menu took some time to get through, more than plenty of choice, everyone at our table found something to their taste. The wine selection had our favorite Nuits-St-George - a very welcomed surprise.The service was nice and easy; we were looked after by Dan, who is a joy to chat with. Staff had a proper knowledge of the menu and of all the allergens (one of our guests had a severe allergy).The flavours were authentically Turkish! Not spiced down or adapted to a local food pallete. My starter - prawns karifes - was a cheesy goodness and the main - fillet steak - was perfect medium-rare. Samolina sponge for my dessert was excellent too (could've been more moist).Wonderful Christmas party in a lovely place. Will definitely be back.P.S. Missed a belly dancer as we arrived too early in the day, sadly :( Will be back next Thursday!

This restaurant is a gem in Walton, with the food quality exceptional. The waiting staff was very friendly and the manager always welcoming and engaging. Highly recommend the stuffed calamari. This place never disappoints.

First of all the portions are too big, the Testi Kebab iş too delicious, the hot meze plate is too much for 2 person, the suprise show "belly dancer" was too funny and too amazing.. what can i say.. I'm surprised.. totally shocked about the taste of TESTI KEBAB!The staff was too polite and too friendly..The music ambiance and the location were too good.. I hope you understood my point about ironic.. :) I must say CAPPADOCIA WALTON 10 STAR !!! MUST GO MUST EAT MUST TRY TESTI KEBAB BEFORE YOU DIE!Thank you for the amazing night and the awesome delicious food !Thank you for the welcoming and very very friendly service !We felt like a king / queen :)See you soon !
