A hidden gem just set back from the highstreet. We always have a great time at Sushi Wakyo - good, varied menu and nice layout with little booths available. Highly recommend the tempura veggies, takoyaki (pictured below) and the dragon roll (pictured below). The ribs are good too!

Received recommendation for authentic sushi and it hasn't disappointed. Restaurant tucked away at the back of Walton but excellent quality food and great evening.

Not having been before, we reserved a table for Friday lunchtime. No need, nobody else ate there but deliveroo were in and out all the time. The food was amazing, especially the sushi and sashimi. Offered fish not normally served in our local Japanese restaurant. Tempura was good. However, there was no heating and we froze. When we mentioned this we were told it was winter! I would love to eat here again but wouldn't book. If it was really cold I'd leave and eat at one of the many restaurants nearby.Or perhaps a takeaway.

Amazing hidden gem close to Walton on Thames river side, fresh and nicely presented fish plus delicious meat dishes, especially recommend pork belly and dynamite salmon. With the lunch set menu it's incredible value as well! Second time visiting and will definitely be back.

Searched for sushi restaurants and this had many great reviews so decided to try it out, drove for 25 minutes to get here but its so worth it. Went on the the dot of opening hours at 12pm Sunday, was the first table and ordered a beef bento, a lunch set menu 12Β£ and sushi set Β£12, seaweed salad π₯ ... the quality of food is outstanding; freshness, presentation, the price is good π π, great customer service and definitely under rated, its one of the best sushi restaurants I have been for a while. Totally recommended and thank you.

An unexpected gem that served as the perfect spot to meet up with a friend on a day trip out of the city. The truffle beef was stellar. The toilets under refurbishment, which added a certain air of danger but I'm sure that will be finished soon. Thanks to our waiter who played along with us telling our guest to expect a high tech bathroombexperience like those you see in Japan when what was actually there was a building site. A very good sport!

In general, absolutely brilliant. The sashimi platter was unbelievable - the quality was apparent in every bite. The lunchtime set menu - two courses for 12 pound - is not to be missed. Incredible value and everything cooked perfectly. The only criticism is that the dynamite salmon tasted almost overwhelmingly of pepper - perhaps to someone's taste, but a shame to mask the taste of the salmon itself.

Food average, experience was appalling. Went for lunch on a Thu and we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. The waiter seemed completely clueless when we ordered and throughout. I had the seabass, my husband the beef teriyaki bento box and we shared some nigiri sushi. I was served the seabass and 20 min after I had finished the bento box came. Some awful rap music was playing in the background (what that has to do with a Japanese restaurant, no idea) and the chef talked loudly the whole time we were there ruining whatever thoughts we had for a quiet intimate lunch. The food was average and small portions. 10% service charge topped it all, there was not even an explanation or apology for the delay in serving us. Doubt I'll ever go back.

So good taste of sushi. Very friendly people and very fresh seafood dishes. Nice place to have lunch or dinner with friends or family. I am feeling very comfortable in the restaurant. Definitely worth it and definitely back again . I love it so much
