Really friendly, hard working staff. Given how busy the place was and how few staff there are, they did an incredible job. Yes we had to wait a while here and there but they had so many tables to look after and they didn't at any point show any stress, they didn't lose their friendly polite attitude once. We even had three separate people check we were happy with our meal and if they could do anything more for us. Food was all delicious as usual, place was clean and it's one of the few places my family are all genuinely excited to go to

This pub looks very nice from the outside, is well decorated, well located and very inviting from the outside. However, when you get inside, there's two men waiting to greet you warmly... Good first impression.I waited ages to be served at the bar, despite being the only one very obviously waiting. The men at the door were chatting, another man was behind the bar, saw me approaching the bar and decided to go elsewhere and chat to another colleague which turned into a mini spat.I finally get my drink, go outside to find the place very dirty looking. Old food and glasses everywhere. Very disappointing as it would be a lovely garden area if it was clean. There seemed to be a lot of staff just standing about inside, chatting etc and not making the outside area look clean and tidy, which on the hottest day of the year when everyone is sitting outside is madness. Also was advised that there was no food available either.Toilets were very clean. It's a shame but I prefer Ye Olde Swan up the road, The Albany could learn a thing or ten from them.

The Albany has a bit of a reputation locally for slow service but on this showing, this could not be further from the truth. Not only was our waitress (Alice) a delight but we didn't feel like we were waiting for anything and no sooner had we finished our starters, the mains arrived. Food was excellent, wine was chilled, nothing to add other than to say if every visit enjoyed service like yesterday, I'd come weekly.

Went for lunch, staff couldn't be better, amazingly helpful as we had people in our group with food allergies. Double checked with the kitchen and made the process of deciding so easy, giving us lots of options which isn't always the case!! Food was fantastic!!! Will definitely be booking again very soon!!

Food was amazing and they were able to easily cater for gluten free

What a treat, my first time visiting this lovely pub after moving just down the road and must I say what a lovely pub. The food was spectacular and the service and view was even better. Both waiters called Tom were attentive and caring and lively to talk to and Katie was even chattier and her Aussie accent had my family in stitches

Great location, lovely interiors, nice team and good IPAs; sadly they also had average food. Came here with the family, had a lovely time thanks to the very attentive service but the food was not the best part of the experience - and that was the main reason for coming. Dishes came cold or were missing key ingredients or were plain and average in flavor. When the less reserved amongst us complained about the food the crew were there to sort it out. Unlike the food, they were great.

We had our Christmas dinner here and was not disappointed. They suggested pre-order which we were happy to do. We knew it would be busy due to the time of year but our visit ran seamlessly. Our waitress, Jasmine, was fantastic, she ran through our order to check and food was served at a good pace, we didn’t feel rushed at all. Three of us had the scallops to start, which were amazing, one of us had Turkey which I was told was “very tasty” and two of us had the lamb, which was cooked perfectly, the selection of veg was great. Desserts were sticky toffee pudding; perfection and the cheeseboard was polished off.My daughter, who can be difficult to please went for the kids menu and loved everything, which speaks volumes.

Service was generally good, it was slow but the it was busy. I had the roast chicken which was an average pub roast. The chicken was dry it needed a extra serving of gravy. Strange comment but the plates were small and rectangular which made it difficult to spread out the roast and eat properly.I did really enjoy my drink I got a non alcoholic cocktail with elderflower which was delicious and quenched my thirst.Overall amazing location but food could be improved.

Been to The Albany on a few occasions and never been disappointed. Friendly staff and good food with lovely Thames view. Can highly recommend a visit both on a sunny day out on the terrace or a cosy evening dining indoors. Photo shows a favourite, The Asian Style Crispy Duck Salad 👌🏼
