Beautiful to be by the river, but please have one healthy option, no salad available on either Friday or Saturday. It had sold out or was not available but salads were on the menu.Other than that I love this pub, friendly staff and good service.

Absolutely fantastic, very welcoming and lovely staff. There was party upstairs and they helped an old lady get up the stairs. Never seen this before. We will definitely be here again. The food is absolutely lovely.

It is a pub with a great location but in the last 8 months the quality and service has gone downhill. Started off not having food that is on the menu and honestly it's not fresh food it was good during the pandemic last summer. Now there is no table service and the drinks are of poor quality. Just today I ordered a drink with pink gin that the menu said to be served with fresh strawberries, but it didn't come with strawberry but with lime. First the drink was served in a simple glass similar to a water serving glass. The taste was terrible, I had to complain because I couldn't drink. I was informed that there were no strawberries so they added lime but it had nothing to do with the drink proposal. When you don't have an ingredient in the drink, it's better to say it's missing than to try to change it without notifying the customer. The alternative was to choose another drink that worked. But in addition to the long queue that was to order a drink, I had to wait again all the time in the queue. Very disheartening, because the food I already gave up ordering, now the drinks are also not to be desired. Unfortunately I will stop attending until the services improve.

A great pub with an outdoor seating area overlooking the Thames. Would be better if the sun was shining. I would like to call back then and sit outside. The food was good.

Lovely location, shame about the food.Ordered from the sandwich menu via the app which included fries and a drink.Had to wait 25 mins for the food and the drinks we had to ask for again when the food was brought out as they had not been brought outHalf of the items on the sandwich menu were not available. When it did arrive, the fries were cold so I had to send them back. The sandwich was very sorry looking. Literally a couple of small pieces of chicken and a piece of lettuce in two small slices of bread.Staff were slow, although pleasant.Lovely setting thou.

Lovely building, polite staff and pleasant surroundings. Clean venue, but poorly curated real ale choices and no interesting keg beers. Underpoured drink that was on the turn. I'd have pointed out the latter, but since they'd knowingly underpoured it I just gave up.

Such a great location right by the river, we had lunch and sat inside next to a log fire as it was cold outside ! Had one of their sandwich specials, Buttermilk chicken sandwich with chunky fries and a soft drink, all for the special price of £9.50. The food arrived promptly and the sandwich was huge with a generous portion of chips, very enjoyable ! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back for more !! Thank you to The Anglers !

Lovely location, such a shame about the food. If you go, stick to just drinks. The food tasted frozen and microwaved. One of us had a massive hard lump in mashed potato, even the waitress couldn’t tell us what that was - not sure if a big frozen chunk or burnt in a microwave. At least they were nice about it.£11.50 for a small bland mac n cheese - felt like we’re getting airplane food and sadly tasted that way too.

Went for afternoon tea for my daughters 30th birthday. Awful, no butter in sandwiches, brought it out after we asked why sandwiches not buttered, one lot of sandwiches just had a bit of lettuce and tomato in. The lemon cakes were out of a packet Mr Kiplings. Scones very dry also shop bought. Tea bought out after we had eaten then we had to ask for it. The staff were very nice but certainly not worth the money.

The place and surroundings are stunning, the staff are professional and ready to assist. If you are looking to ONLY have some drinks, it is your pub!. If you want the place to have some good meal, please do not choose this place. For entrees: we chose the BBQ wings and onion rings, short story: small and poor portions. For mains:We had the veg sausages and a schnitzel. The veg sausages plate were parts cold and parts warm plus the sausages were burnt and not to speak about the gravy as cold as ice. Highly disappointing. My partner had the schnitzel, which was OK but the triple cooked chips were soggy!. Long story short, we left the plates…If you ask me, I would not recommend the place.Unless you are planning to have some drinks and have good time at the online quiz time.(20:00 to 21:00)
