The Courtyard Cafe in Elmbridge

Appalling service on a Wednesday afternoon, just 4 tables inside so the place wasn't busy but staff couldn't cope. Just running erratic, taken wrong orders, waiting for ages for the bill. Food quite poorly.Wouldn't recommend or go again. Big mistake

The restaurant is part of the Hillier garden centre and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Well worth a try if you are visiting the garden centre. For drinks or something more substantial to eat, we very much enjoyed our soup and toasted sandwich for lunch. Service was good and clean toilets are nearby.

Very disappointing! Limited menu - very overpriced witherspoon quality food. Had fish and chips for over £14 - fish ok but small portion. Slightly soggy oven fries arrived instead of chunky chips and there was half a plate of peas to fill the plate. Over £7 for avocado and egg sandwich with dry bread that had obviously been out too long. We also had a very overpriced basic pasta and tomatoe sauce kids portion suitable for the average 3 year old. And the drinks were served in plastic glasses. Such a shame as the old cafe was much better and quite handy when we visited the garden centre.

Limited menu, most of which is not prepared on site . Mostly paninis, thin soup, one choice of sandwich.Virtually no cakes, scones etc to have with coffee. Will not return.

The Syon breakfast was very good - no complaints. But the avocado on toast fell short of expected. The avocado was only just ripe enough, the sourdough toast would have benefitted from some butter instead of the rather strong flavoured olive oil. The pumpkin seeds would have been much nicer if toasted and the egg on top was rather cold and the yolk was disappointingly not runny. Hopefully these comments can be taken on board.

What to say but fantastic. From the moment we arrived greeted with pleasant smiles and it wasn't too busy at the time we went so great timing because the service was quick, food was excellent and so tasty. We had been recommended to stop by here and so glad we did. Staff were ready and willing to help when needed plus social distancing was on point so not to worry at all. We cannot wait to return. 5 star rating😊

The good - friendly service and very nice chunky chips and halloumi fries. The bad - stale, dry panini that was barely toasted and light on bacon, brie and cranberry. The ugly - they charged us for an extra chunky chips and the meal was exceptionally poor value at just over £32.

Went in for lunch, good service, nice food. Was a great place to refuel for the evening ahead at the Music by Candlelight.

The posh fish finger sandwich was absolutely delicious! Staff friendly.

HORRID PLACE:Rude staff.Today had lunch at this Restaurant, Sadly the food all tasted of fish; when I called over waitress she became rude, very insulting no apologies or offer to replace my food order. Not at all good, will never go again. I refused to pay for all uneaten food. Mainly chips as strong taste of fish very unpleasant for a non fish eater.Horrid place Horrid staff avoid, better lunches available in other local establishments.Menu also plain no children's menu or food so don't take your children.Very disappointed as this used to be a wonderful Restaurant....
