We booked a table after reading the reviews online. What a fantastic find! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed 3 courses of superb food and were amazed at how busy the restaurant was for a Wednesday evening. It had a lovely atmosphere which was complimented by friendly, enthusiastic and professional staff. We immediately booked a return visit for the following evening. The only disappointment was the distance from our home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne....we will have to make a return visit to Cobham! We will be certainly returning to the Old Plough when we do.

Great food great service great atmosphere.Clean, tidy establishment, garden inviting, outside seating, small car park but you can park on the road.No service charge, leaving your own tip is a better way.Best to book towards end of week.Table 14 is a nice table and popular.Special menu updated regularly.

Lovely Sunday Lunch. Food was fresh, hot, home made and all really tasty. Excellent prawn and cod croquettes. I was impressed by the variety of vegetables in the side dish that was served with my roast beef dinner. Well done!

Great food, no service! Didn't have explained that by sitting in the bar area we had to order our drinks and food from the bar...then it took forever to get the bill and for the server to take our money...👎badly done in what is usually a brilliant pub - also we didn't get the table we reserved so 6 of us squashed around a table for 4 - will still go again but very disappointed this time

Two celebratory lunches here within the week! So good the first time we knew where we were going the second! Really interesting menu that lived up to expectations.... scrumptious freshly cooked food which arrived so speedily even though they were really busy. Excellent service ..The barn in the spacious garden area was a great place for a party . Really nice cosy open fire bar and attractive, relaxed dining room. The Old Plough will definitely be our first choice from now on....I hope we can get a table!

Tasty starters (duck terrine, cod croquettes). Also very good roasts (chick, lamb) potatoes were crispy. All good portions. 50min drive for me, but I will come again.

Excellent Sunday meal @ the Old Plough! It is amazing how you can visit two pubs on two days over a weekend and have such a radically differing dining experience... Yesterday, I was at the Cricketers on Pirbright Green and paid 'more' for significantly less...Bravo, the Old Plough for saving my dining weekend! The Old Plough strikes a very good balance... A variety of indoor and outdoor dining options in a modern setting that retains many traditional pub values. Fresh quality ingredients, cooked with care and assembled on the plate with an attention to detail that exceeded the price! Finally delivered to the table by friendly staff. It was Sunday, but I was on a mission for fish this weekend, something the Cricketers in Pirbright had fallen disappointingly short on the day before (A bland and unseasoned grilled Sea Bass served with supposed ‘triple cooked chips’ and some greens, of which the greens was the only element worthy of mention. Even here, I am clutching for something!). Therefore, I opted for the fish & chips. Now I know it is just fish & chips, but it is the care taken to do it properly that put this humble Fish & Chips leagues ahead of my Sea Bass experience the day before. Fresh and quality fish in a light and crumbly batter that allowed the fish to remain the star of the plate, 'seriously' good chips (and I mean seriously good!) that had not been marketed 'triple cooked' for a premium because it’s easy to write that on a menu, and fresh minted and crushed peas.Exceptional and the very best pub F&C I have enjoyed in years! We were a party of four; we enjoyed the two course Sunday menu @ £21.50 with a bottle of wine and a couple of gins. £135 made up to £150 with a very well deserved and 'optional tip'!Back at the Cricketers, we was a party of six and paid £290 inclusive an assumed service charge. Although unchallenged, besides our server, the service charge did not deserve! The Old Plough won this battle of the high seas, easily and on every level, the Old Plough delivered a markedly better dining experience and for less cost. What more is there to write!

Nice food, tables and staff. Sat outside so cannot say what the atmosphere was like inside, however it was very busy which was probably the reason why our food took a long time and we were given another tables food!

Was in the area & needed a place for dinner. So glad I found this place. Lots of outdoor space, great food, & has its own parking area in the back. Highly recommend.
