If you like to go to a restaurant where the owners think it’s ok to knock (not pay) local suppliers this is the place to go. We are a local wholesaler that was trading with taste of Bengal for the last 8 years. After the pandemic although the management are the same, they decided to close their trading company and start a new one where they than thought it was ok not to pay their outstanding debts. When you spend your hard earned money in this establishment for the food and beverages that you are consuming, please ask the question whether this money is passed on to their suppliers who are in effect also serving yourselves. We are a family run business that was also effected badly by the pandemic and completely understand the companies that legitimately closed down. This place is a fraud, same people just a different front. People that dine in this joint I would really ask you to think about how ethically this restaurant trades as we weren’t paid.

Great food and extremely reasonable pricing, highly recommend.

The best curry house around

·

Nice cozy traditional style curry house with nice and polite staff and reasonable prices.Tikka starter,Tarka Dal and Aloo Gobi were decent enough, the samosas were very small but nice. The main dish 'Naga Chicken' was below average and didn't even have any fresh chilli's in it!! (which is the main point of the dish)The rice and nans were nice but very small portions. The nan was almost half the size of a regular nan, and the rice was almost half the size of what they used to serve just a couple of years ago, which isn't sufficient for 1 person unless of course you order a nan per person as well. They do not automatically add on a service charge which is a nice touch, but i doubt that I will return.

Taste of Bengal is our favourite local Indian; we even go there on Christmas Day for a curry! The food and service is always excellent and we many of our friends insist on going there for dinner when they visit.

Our takeaway arrived on time. The food was very tasty. We couldn't fault it if we tried. It was without a doubt the nicest takeaway curry we have had in a long time! We don't have any photo's to attached because we couldn't stop ourselves from tucking in - maybe next time!

Full of flavour, taste delicious food. Arrived lovely and hot. Exactly how you expect a good quality meal should arrive. Recommend Taste of Bengal over and above any other takeaway I have had for a very long time. Don't delay call them.

After coming to this restaurant for many years now & very satisfied with our visits I always recommend it to friends & family, I did just that a couple of weeks back to a friend who visited the restaurant with his wife & 2 kids. After eating their meal my friend went to the carsy & was alarmed to see a member of staff coming out of trap 1 walked past him at the birdbath & straight out the door & back into the kitchen, call me old fashion in these terrible times & how important washing your hands are how on earth can you forget to wash your hands not only have we got to worry about Covid but now a dose of ghandies revenge is not something you should be worried about so it goes without saying I won’t be going back & neither will anyone else I know which is a terrible shame but the management need to address this

I've been a customer of this restaraunt for a many years and I would commend them on the quality and range of their food. The place is generally clean and tidy. Unusually, the staff make a lot of effort to make you feel welcome and looked after. I would have awarded them 5 stars but they do have a slight tendancy not to make mistakes with orders. I would recommend this to any of my neighbours as one of the best local curry houses.
