Good to see them back. Whoever manages Universal Marina obviously had some sort of Covid brainfart to lose Mermaids. That's being polite.Great food and drink, let's hope Mermaids is here for good, and let's hope Universal Marina management leaves well alone.

Great News, great news…. MERMAIDS COFFEE SHOP now back ‘in residence’ at Universal Marina. After transitioning through a mobile coffee outlet (from a van) they are now back in their previous building… just like the ‘good old days’ …. Same comfortable seating, same excellent coffee ☕️ and cakes. Best wishes to Johno and team… look forward to the return of the log burning stove 🤔😂👏👍✊👌

We adore this amazing place. Service is fabulous and food, coffee is equally brilliant! Well behaved dogs allowed. The owners have got it just right and we can't wait for their business expansion!

Lovely coffee shop, dogs allowed inside and amazing 82% hot chocolate. Very reasonable and lovely walks nearby. Cosy with wood burner and very comfy seating

Lovely relaxed environment. The refurb is excellent. Coffee is very good and all the food tried so far is delicious. The beef stew is first class. Will get very busy so there's not always space inside and there can be a short wait for food. But this isnt a fast food restaurant so wait for your freshly cooked food with a drink.

This cafe has a lovely atmosphere and some real charm. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. For 2 of us to have 2 rounds of drinks, lunch and cake it cost less than £25. Highly recommended.

This is a very relaxed cafe allowing children and dogs in varying quantity to enjoy an easy going atmosphere. You can drive here but a much more enjoyable way is to take the path along the shore line at Swanwick - a 15 to 25 minute walk. The scenery is lovely on most days overlooking the boats on the river. Just before you turn the corner into the boat yard and cafe is the Fairy Tree dont miss it

Beautiful little cafe, always had excellent food, my favourite is their pea soup! All very well priced considering it’s all freshly made. Must try their Dark Hot Chocolate...love that they allow dogs inside and out as it’s difficult to find cafes that are ok with them Inside. Our dog is with us all the time. Definitely coming back regularly!
