Red Lion in Fareham

Really wasn't sure about going here... beer selection average, but the food was FANTASTIC! Staff were great too. It is rare I am defeated but I could not clear my plate. Recommend the roast dinners, Hunters Chicken and fish (not all together of course!)

We absolutely love The Red Lion. We go at least 3 times per month for food and we cannot fault it. The food is always fantastic, the team are welcoming, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Clean spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast.

Good old fashioned hotel with well-used and outdated but still comfy furniture. Nothing outstanding. We were happy with the room service. Haven't tried the pub.

Booked a room for one night. Lovely evening meal in the bar. Great service from Sharon throughout breakfast. All staff are very welcoming and friendly. Room was lovey, comfy bed. Quiet room so I slept really well. Room 11 The shower head over the bath could do with changing. Would book again when in the area.

Surprisingly nice old coaching Inn. The room was quite large and the ensuite acceptable. We made our way to the dining room through Christmassy corridors but was well worth the effort. Food was delicious for both dinner and breakfast. Prices a little higher than we thought but the lovely food cancelled that out! Would recommend and we WILL be back. Thank you.

Great place for a Christmas meal, the food was really good and plenty of it, the staff were happy and helpful.Well priced for the food we had.Parking at the rear of the Hotel, free when you use the bar / restaurant.Definitely use the place again 😁

Nice central location in town. Booked into a business size room, nice size and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom very roomy with a large bath but I’ve knocked a star off because the toilet under the rim was very dirty quite gross and I could see this while in the bath. The breakfast was okay, sausage tasted a bit cheap. The pub food was really nice and good value for money. With a few tweaks it could be better excellent.

Very good Sunday roast, I had the pork and my partner had the beef. My pork was cooked to perfection and her beef the same for her, although it says in the menu it's cooked pink it's not it's well done which wouldn't have suited me.With a side of roast potatoes and a side of cauliflower cheese to share it is quite a substantial meal. We had three bottles of Punk IPA and the bill was under £42.All the staff are friendly and are very welcoming. Rocio and her team provide a very efficient service for both drinks from the bar and food from the kitchen. We love the Red Lion, well done.

Very good hotel/pub friendly. Good selection of meals reasonably priced and a good selection of beers and nice to have a cooked breakfast not dripping in oil or fat.Good facilities and service close to shops.
