Red Lion Public House in Fareham

First visit to this pub. Staff all very friendly and welcoming, nice atmosphere.Great food - there was a group of 10 of us and everyone enjoyed their choices.Service really good.Great value for moneyWill be back next time I’m in the area.

Was very impressed with Red lion. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, I had the fish and chips, the fish was enormous and very tasty. The person who looked after us wore a bright coloured shirt, he was very good at his job. Highly recommend this place

Very enjoyable lunch. Great value for money and one of the best fish n chips I've had in a long time. Ee all had the Chef's Signature dish...highly recommended.

Just had a beef roast dinner today first time really disappointed beef tough vegetables lukewarm ordered dessert did n't arrive so asked for bill and left - had been in pub for an hour and threequarters - superb waitress she was very disappointed for us normally rate you but certainly not this time! have you changed your chef?

Had a lovely meal yesterday lunch time to celebrate our 35th anniversary.Ordered 2 meals from the pub classics menu (me hunter's chicken, him scampi and chips) and we finished everything! The eton mess sundae and chocolate fondant desserts ended a fantastic lunch.High praise must go to the waiting staff who were constantly on the go with a busy service and remained cheerful throughout!It was our first visit since moving to Hampshire but it certainly won't be the last.

Will never eat here again. Waited 1hour and 20 minutes for microwaved lasagne this was with a large group who had pre-ordered their meals.Such a shame that this pleasant looking pub is so badly run.Greene King needs to do a few mystery visits to the establishment to check it out.

We always have a great time at the pub. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. We absolutely loved the charity bingo night held recently. The host, Hannah Parker was excellent! She was friendly and enthusiastic, exactly what you need when playing bingo! A really fun night had by all 👍

Was ok, it's good they've introduced an app to help with social distancing, you can also book a table via the app which is a plus.However my mum had fish and chips which was a bit disappointing, there were hardly any chips, you can see this comparison with my scampi and chips that there's hardly any, she pretty much had crumbs. We asked for this to be fixed straight away but the waitress just said for us to order and pay for extra via the app. Yes it was a lovely huge bit of fish but that was pretty much all that was there 😂
