The Cormorant in Fareham

A lovely traditional pub with a superb selection of 5 good ales on tap. The menu is superb and reasonably priced. The location is superb. One of the highlights was the staff, so lovely to see a group of young staff so well trained and so good at their job. A lovely visit. Good vegan and veggie options too.

For Sunday Lunch , this would be a hard place to best. Outstanding, home cooked roasts, with plenty of space, but you need to book in advance to stand a chance of getting a table. But well worth booking. Added bonus is it's a lovely building, in a very nice part of the area. Portchester Castle is just down the road as well, so you can walk off your lovely meal. Pub has a decent sized Car Park as well, bit does get busy Sunday lunchtimes. 👍

I was meeting some friends here for a drink/meal on a Thursday night. Got there early so I could have a drink before everyone arrived. Can't drink or order at the bar. I was given a table so I could have a drink, however I had to wait 20 minutes for my drink. Eventually shown to our table. Once at the table, service improved. Food was good, drinks ordered at the table came pretty quick as well. The prices were quite reasonable as well. Overall we had a good time.

In todays Covid environment and the staff shortages all pubs seem to have, the service today was little short of miraculous. Fast, friendly, excellent fish and chips. Full marks

Lovely food and good menu, something for everyone. Staff were extremely polite and helpful.

We had Sunday lunch here today and it was excellent. Nice food, brilliant staff, glad we found it, we'll be going back.

Pretty good food in a quaint location near Portchester castle with good service. Had the bangers and mash.

Beautiful pub. Excellent food, wide selection of beverages. COVID-aware. Very clean (possibly the cleanest pub toilet in the UK.) Quick, professional service. Highly recommend and worth a detour. Enlarged garden seating. Thursday is quiz night.

Lovely dinner time meal with friendsWe went here this morning, 10th Aug 2020 for a dinner time meal. Found that the whole pub had been given a nice “Makeover”.The whole staff and management team have really done some good work making sure all the “Covid-19” rules and systems were in place. So we felt safe going and eating here.We all had the “Fish and Chips” which were very nice with homemade sponge pudding for afters. So I can’t say any more than, Clean toilets, lovely meals and a safe place to go and eat out, with plenty of free parking.It will not be long before we all go for a meal here again.
