Always interesting real ale, including usually a local beer The festival was on during my visit this time and there was an excellent Orkney Stout

·

Lovely pint of Welsh cider called Black dragon and they leffe on draft

I sat outside in the pedestrian High Street with my dog. I was on my own so I thought that the app would be a great way to have some breakfast. After ordering, someone comes out and tells me that they do not allow dogs (this is just chairs in the High Street. No barriers). There are no signs anywhere to state this either. So I now have to wait up to 5 days for a refund!!!

First time here and wasn't disappointed. It's possibly the smallest Wetherspoons I've ever been to but I'd say that works in their favour because drinks and food were really quick to come out!I ordered a steak and customised to have with Chips and scampi. The food came red hot, I accidentally burnt my mouth... the steak was cooked perfectly - I ordered rare and rare it was.I was dining with a friend who ordered fractionally before me. The service was so quick that her food came before I'd even confirmed my own order. The staff were friendly, the toilets were clean and well stocked with toilet roll, I can't think of a single fault, which considering it was a Friday night I would have expected at least one hiccup - but nothing, it was a very pleasant visit.

Food reasonable, and OK standard, good atmosphere during the day, table could have done with a clean but think I'd happily come here again for a quick cheap lunch out, safety posters in ladies toilets impressed me.

Excellent service. Nice well cooked food. Very pleasant staff. Good value and quick service. Highly recommended. Just the decor is a bit tired. Well used and convenient town centre location. Variety on the menu.

To be honest I'm very surprised at the high level of quality served up to me today. The large English breakfast was perfect. The service was really good as well. For a chained Pub this establishment sets the bar other Weatherspoons should aim to aspire to. Well done I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Brilliant had a couple off drinks the wife and I. Meet a nice bloke in the pub , turns out he new friends and family off mine. From 30 years ore more ago great atmosphere, good value for money. Very friendly pub with return.

·

Pub is pretty small with low ceilings so it feels a little clostrophobic, though conversely it feels a little more cosy if you're into that. The cleanliness isn't great, but it's satisfactory. The food is decent and the staff are lovely, though.
