If 5.30pm is a little late to guarantee full selection for a Sunday roast please advise at time of booking. If you indeed run out of roast potatoes, please advise on arrival. If you wait until the time of ordering please apologise! I have worked in hospitality and am very understanding. A simple apology instead of the icy stare I received (twice) when I remarked to my partner "there is no point without roast potatoes" would have been far more appropriate in my view. I too had been working all day.

Had the most lovely evening,excellent food and hospitality, highly recommended.

This is our first and last time here and we are local the worst mix grill ever all the meat was dry there was no kidneys as advertised on the menu.

The best local pub food going in my honest opinion.Their food is always fresh and home cooked, plus the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Have been going here for years and it just keeps getting better and better. Ok it’s a little dated inside but it is clean and the food is great, really it adds to the charm of a proper local pub.The menu have the normal pub type food you would expect, plus some good fresh additions as well. It is really reasonably priced which makes it even better.

Sad to say I was not impressed!!! Service was very slow and it took 35 minutes to be told there was no ham for ham,egg and chips!!!!! WHEN the food finally arrived it was quite nice, certainly hot and the chips crispy! But I will not be going back nor will any others from our group.

Good value honest food, well kept ale, friendly staff, tables spaced apart, plenty of hand sanitizer, screens so you can sit at the bar, big garden and no time limits! These are some of the reasons for a visit to this old fashioned pub. Thanks for a lovely meal!
