Stayed here with my Wife and Son for two nights and had a fab stay, the room was lovely and clean. Continental breakfast was delicious with ample choice and great coffee. We had a wonderful evening meal on valentines day, the rib eye steaks were really tender and tasty. We will happily stay here again in the future.

We stayed for a night in Harper's hotel which included breakfast. I couldn't rate them enough. The staff were all soooo lovely (especially when I called them to say I'd messed up and booked the wrong date on Hotels.com which they resolved no problem whatsoever!).The room was super comfortable and well decorated and had a lovely view of the sunrise and sunset over the marina. The breakfast was free, continental and very fresh. The price was amazing too. We'll happily be staying again here soon :)

Really nice food and good service. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5* is because I had to put a deposit down before we went to eat and it wasn’t given back to me/included on my bill. I had to contact them to get it refunded, I genuinely hope it was an error because of their “new system” and not done as a sly way to make more money. Just be conscious of this when booking.

Went to harpers last night Valentine’s Day with my wife not good,1st off booked a table in the restaurant as soon as we got there was ask if we wanted to sit in the bar area, waitress was helpful but very slow to ask us what we wanted, starters came calimari was very chewy and cauliflower was nice but such a big portion thought is was a main and to much batter, mains well a steak house no if you are calling yourself a steakhouse at least get the steak right, steak cold pepper corn sauce had no taste veg warm my wife got the wrong chips and the onion ring inedible as with the amount of batter again, very expensive drinks £1.99 for a dash of lemonade in a gin!! Paid £20 deposit and didn’t take it off the bill and heard them doing it to other customers nice try .Basically just pub grub and not very good at that won’t be returning again sorry very disappointed

Went a few weeks ago and had an amazing meal so re-booked to go with friends last Saturday, unfortunately our friends had to drop out which was fortunate as the meal was very poor, cold chips, steak not great, pepper corn sauce had about 200 pepper corns in it, deserts what deserts they had run out of 2 then ran out of cream so only had 2 choices left. Emailed the manager when I got home and totally ignored. We had been told it's very hit and miss, which I can confirm it is, don't know how they can go from one extreme to the other , so would not recommend especially seeing it is not cheap but acceptable if you get a great meal but you can't guarantee that here

First attempt at three steaks, came back with 2 incorrectly cooked... rare not medium. They tried again and came back with charcoal. Menu choice is limited to burgers steaks and chips only. Effectively a fast food restaurant that charges premium rates. Cooking steak and burger is low skill, Harpers cannot get that right. We live less than 100m away, it's depressing to see it gone to the dogs. Our advice is to avoid this place and go to the old ship where there is a good menu selection reasonably priced and deliver high quality every time.We will not go back again and will advise our guests to avoid it.

Food was good. steak was cooked right but very small portions .Had to stop off to get something else on the way home anywhere which has to take your reg in and out of the car park Rings alarm bells to me as it seems like legalized theft if you forget to put your reg in. so won't be going back there ever again, Just sounds like a scam.

Nice place for dinner, nice surroundings, service was reasonable. Waitress was good but wasn't overly impressed by the bar dude. No Pinot Grigio but wasn't a good replacement. Food was decent but nothing that I would shout about. All round good but just lacked the wow factor to be honest. Steaks were decent but have eaten better elsewhere. Overall rating would be a 7 out of 10

Made a booking with them for lunch with a family member who had travelled an incredibly long way. Was seated and then told to leave as we had a dog. We had previously told the restaurant explicitly that we would be bringing a dog after seeing online that dogs were welcome inside. I also asked the restaurant while booking that if that rule changed at all to please contact me before we arrived. Extremely poor management and customer service.

We had adhoc meal here today due to our original restaurant being full. We were greeted with a warm welcome and led to a comfortable booth. Our drinks came quickly and we ordered lunch where our waitress didn't seem to know the menu. It was a long wait for lunch but when we got it we all really enjoyed it. We unfortunately had to ask for our plates to be taken away and got a rude reply saying that she was busy and would do it after whatever she was doing. We had some backroom noise of some waitresses talking about other guests and swearing. We didn't stay for dessert as we didn't have time and knew it would be a long wait. Overall we had a lovely meal and enjoyed our food just the service was lacking.Obviously don't read the reviews properly either 🙄
