The Slug and Lettuce in Fareham

Really nice place to go to , staff are really friendly and helpful ..... can recommend the food for lunch or evening , nicely presented dishes , and very good value for money . That is something that is very hard to find nowadays . There is also an outdoor seating area which is always a bonus. Very good indeed 👍👍

Great service from Demi today, made sure the children had colouring stuff to keep them busy! , food was lovely and great prices too! Thank you for a lovely visit.

First visit here today, very nicely decorated and love the church annex.I had the S&L burger, and it was one of the best I have eaten. It was moist, tasty and very well presented. I will definitely come back again for food AND cocktails.Thanks John, Bob and Mark 👍

Luke was an amazing server and made sure our glasses were never empty. Super friendly and definitely made the experience better. Drinks were amazing along with the food. Definitely recommend the bottomless brunch!

Saturday evening, 9.38pm. can't hear myself think over the loud music. Can't help get the impression that most people in the place want to have a beer and a chat, but can't cos of the overly loud music. FML. Edit. Ordered drinks via the app. Waited twenty minutes,.no drinks. Asked at the bar for an update. Told it would be at least forty five minutes until the drinks arrived. Totally unacceptable. Got a refund and walked out. S**thole

Had a table booked here on Saturday and it was such a great night! Courtney and Caitlin were both lovely and helped us with everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Greeted warmly by John and had no problem finding a table and ordering breakfast which the chef did an excellent job of. Tasty and hot just how I like it! The young lady ,Demi, who served us was attentive ,but not overly, and thoroughly helpful. All in all a delightful experience.

Bad points: stood at the door ignored for a while and no information to tell us about the seating/ordering process. A request to taste a draught drink before buying was met with a degree of irritation. Person serving looked like they were new which is not a problem, but they struggled to get support. Floor was sticky, 2 choices of desert not available. Drinks expensive, although not abnormally so for this type of venue. Good points: food was reasonably priced, arrived quickly and tasted nice. Service was friendly and helpful. Toilets a good standard

My wife and I had breakfast in the Slug and Lettuce today 14/8/21. It was the worst experience we have ever had. The coffee cup had lipstick around it. The scrambled eggs were over cooked, not seasoned and swimming in water. My sausages were burnt and the avocado on toast turned out to be thrown on to a piece of baguette that was not toasted and was given to me soggy. The accompanying toast was so anemic looking we thought it was just plain bread. Now there works a chef that either doesn't care or doesn't know how to cook. A refund was offered but refused by us on the grounds that we only complained so that the Manager was aware that sub standard food was being sold to their customers and hopefully improvements could be made.
