My mum had her wedding here (mid June 2022) what a venue! The view is incredible, the food was sensation, staff! Honestly the staff went above and beyond to cater to everyone's needs and wants. I can not fault a single thing.Clean fresh rooms, amazing entrance hallway. All our family loved it.Again, the staff were incredible and an absolute asset to the amazing venue.

We have enjoyed several great meals at the Alverbank recently.Sitting in glorious sunshine on a balcony overlooking the sea is bliss…the setting is fantastic… and as for the roast dinner…fabulous.Billy and the staff were great as always, however a special mention for Lauren who was delightful, helpful, attentive, enthusiastic and a real gem in the Alverbank team. Thanks everyone - we are so lucky to live near such a great place to eat, drink and chill… and they love dogs ❤️ Perfect!

Family lunch booked - outside table in a large garden with a great outlook over the bay. Food was excellent and service was great - really friendly staff. Just one minor negative - only one table in the garden had any shade and it was a particularly sunny day when we visited - might be worth considering for the future

A big, big thank you to Abby, Billy, Claire and the Alverbank team for making our wedding day so perfect in every way. Your guidance, advise, care and attention to detail was exceptional. Billy was a superstar in ensuring the day ran without hiccup and Claire working in the background to make sure everything went smoothly. Beautiful bedrooms, delicious food and a superb venue by the sea for wedding photographs. The whole experience was fabulous and a day we will treasure forever. We received high praise from all our guests. Thank you!! Linda & Gary

A hidden gem. Warm and friendly, attentive and efficient staff and excellent food. From their garden are spectacular views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. I held my husband’s wake at the Alverbank on a spring afternoon. I wanted hot food that would be easy to eat while everyone caught up so we chose fish pie and shepherd’s pie which went down a storm. Their spacious entertaining room was ideal for everyone to gather and talk of their memories of my husband. He had a wonderful send off. Thank you, it could not have been more perfect.

Came here for a wedding, a beautiful building inside and out. All of the staff were very friendly, amazing wedding meal too! 3 courses were lovely and the blondie was the nicest desert I've ever had.Came back a month later to try the food and drink again and was blown away again, I would recommend anyone to come and try their food! Beautifully cooked and the staff are all lovely and very friendly! I'll definitely be back for more food!I'd recommend booking if you're coming to eat though :)

A big THANK YOU to Abby, Dave, Billy and all the staff at The Alverbank for a wonderful lunch for my family yesterday. We had booked somewhere else but were let down at the last minute. Abby fitted all 15 of us in and we used the side room, which was perfect. All of the staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. We all felt that we ended up having a MUCH better experience than we would have had with the other venue - we definitely lucked in! I would HIGHLY recommend the Alverbank Hotel. Thank you once again Abby. Cassy xxx

The Alverbank Country House Hotel (or "Alverbank Rooms") is a lovely grade II listed Victorian building that sits between a beautiful park and the sea front in Stokes Bay, with a view of the Isle of Wight. We received a warm welcome and a free upgrade to room 5, a double that looks out on the entrance to the nearby park, the front parking area, and allows glimpses of the sea.Current management is in the process of renovating the bedrooms. Although some details are still to be finished, the rooms do already look very nice, and are comfortable, with all the important bits like bathrooms having already been done. The interior of the room (no. 5) offered a combination of modern and vintage furnishings, an impressive old fireplace, and a completely renovated bathroom, where we especially loved the excellent, beautiful shower. The suite in vintage style went well with our idea of how a bathroom in a building like this should look. The breakfast, included in the room price, was continental, and offered everything we wanted, including warm croissants.Service is friendly, staff are helpful, parking is free, and the location is lovely. We're already planning our next visit.

Food and drink was absolutely amazing! Fabulous family lunch next to the roaring fire. Just perfect on a cold Saturday afternoon. Staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back for sure! Sea Bream was incredible. Plus love that they now stock Powder Monkey craft beer. Keep in’ it local 😀

Fantastic Christmas dinner with colleagues, in comfortable surroundings. The Christmas food was superb *Quote: “Best restaurant Christmas meal I’ve had!”.The service staff were happy and engaged, the atmosphere perfect.Considering the short notice booking, due to a venue letdown elsewhere, the Marketing Team did everything in their power to accommodate us.I will be booking the venue again, in the near future.Thank you!
