Room was comfortable and I had no complaints. The staff were all very nice. But - I REALLY enjoyed the food in the restaurant. I ate there two nights and each time having something from the specials menu. I particularly enjoyed the curried goat but the venison was also beautiful. I'm trying to think of an excuse to go back so I can enjoy eating there again.

They are my next door neighbours wonderful Victorian hotel with a modern bar. Unfortunately I have only visited during the Covid crisis so the intimacy was missing. Standard beer selection and as a craft beer lover disappointing. But made up for by the lovely food and the excellent staff

It was good to eat in a place with napkins and nice cutlery for a change. Food wise the menu for me was lacking choices that that are not cooked with sauces and spices I would not want. Steaks were not fussy but personally I have changed my eating habits and prefer to eat spicy food with vegetables, pasta, rice, fish and pulses and actually feel better for it. I enjoyed what I chose which was a salmon dish and asked for a different rice choice that wasn't fried rice. Burgers went down well with friends.

Banging roast dinner, best in Gosport only thing that could improve is when you are busy sometimes the roasted veg is a tad raw.

Appalling service at Sunday lunch. We waited well over an hour for our main courses. Despite voicing our dissatisfaction, no apology was offered until I went into the kitchen and stated how unhappy we were. The chef said sorry that he was late getting our orders on - or words to that effect. Totally unacceptable, especially when there were so few diners.

If I cluld give you more stars I would. Very friendly staff members who are always willing to help out. The food and drink portions where great sizes. Id highly recommend The Anglesey Hotel

Very nice hotel and bar, great location opposite beautiful park and gardens. The house rows reminded me of the ones by Regents Park in London. Very regal and a lovely place to stay. Breakfast was so tasty too.

Beautiful grade 2 listed building kept in immaculate condition inside and out. Wonderful restaurant with first class food. Beautiful rooms for those seeking accommodation right on the coast. Amazing brand new bar gorgeous decor and a wide range of drinks.Staff in all areas of this hotel/restaurant/bar are helpful, friendly and efficient. One of THE places to stay if you want to be right on the seafront of Stokes Bay.

First time delivery from Anglesey Hotel tonight Excellent and the food came hot. Will order again😀😀 Had another delivery tonight Definitely WELL RECOMMENDED Food is Superb😀 28.2 My daughter and I both had roast dinner today again absolutely tasty and large portions. Even the Yorkshire's are homemade😀 The only disappointment is that my daughters partner could not order a burger today as he so thoroughly enjoyed it from the first time delivery to ending up with KFC🤣. Had another take away delivery tonight. Fantastic food. Hot and tasty.

We have stayed at the Anglesey, before we moved to the area, we have used both the restaurant and bar, and since COVID we have used their takeaway service, ranging from coffee and bacon rolls, to be taken down to the sea front (when you were allowed!), through to a full Burns Night supper, delivered to our house, which was outstanding. This is very clearly a well run hotel, properly catering to a range of different customers. I cannot rate them highly enough. I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. Brilliant.
