Bayside Cabin in Gosport

We stopped for a coffee and cake on a walk from Lee-on-the-Solent to Gosport. Great service from the friendly staff. There is a secluded private garden if you wish to sit outside. We enjoyed it so much we stopped for more of the same on the way back.

The staff were really lovely. Everything seemed nice and clean. Service was organised and prompt. It is a bit expensive, but given its location I guess that's about right . The milkshakes weren't amazing. Small for the price as well as tasting average. I will be back again. :)

Love this place !!Service is great , waitresses are friendly and welcoming.Food was delicious!We had pork baguettes with apple sauce and stuffing.Came with a salad and tasty dressing.Thoroughly delightful !!!

Lovely to see somewhere catering for almost everything, from chips and sarnies up to full meals! Generous portion sizes, and overall good quality. Choice of indoor and outdoor seating, with sea views, and lots of space for buggies, wheelchairs etc. Will happily come back, and bring the dogs!

This place had a good reputation and still serves decent food. However, it has a history of running out of menu items and, more recently, service has become poor.They may well have been short of staff and those working were not efficient. Queuing times for a less than full restaurant were discouraging. There is an accepted wisdom in catering that staff hands should be full in both directions. Bring something out, take something back. Tables were not being cleared and surfaces were tacky.We waited about an hour from arrival for food and a very simple drinks order was not complete. There seemed to be no-one directing activities. The views are worth a trip but you should not go until ideas are bucked up - unless you're much more patient than I.

Lovely location and happy with the food and drink quality. But very poor communication between the kitchen and the serving staff means that you never know if what you have ordered is in stock. On our last two visits we have each had to change our food and drink orders at least 3 times because they do not know what is left. It is hard to ask the question, 'what HAVE you got in the kitchen?' without sounding sarcastic. By the time we get anything to eat, all the pleasure is gone. We don't plan to return.

I've been visiting the Bayside since it was a big mobile unit sited in the car park. It's a great place to meet friends for lunch or just a coffee or a dog walk (yes, it's dog friendly in the large conservatory) The food is great and the staff members are friendly and efficient. Definitely give it a visit.

Beach side cafe, restaurant and venue catering for the locals and tourists to enjoy and explore the South Coast at gosport... highly recommended

Food is great! Kitchen staff lovely! All the other serving staff are always polite and kind but one of the older women is always rude when we visit every Friday. Such a shame and ruins the experience! She needs some training in customer service 😤!
