Best fish and chip shop in the area. Lovely fresh fish and great chips. We grab some most weeks.

We regularly order from Scott’s Plaice and we are always happy with the food. Good range of food and the chips are always nice.

Soooo disappointed…..ordered large cod and standard chips for delivery. The cod was mostly batter….in fact I broke off a third which had no fish at all. It puts me off ordering from here.

I visited yesterday for the first time since the pandemic started. The quality of the fish and the way its cooked is still excellent. The staff are very friendly and efficient with the orders. Click and collect service is a great addition. We will be returning soon.

These are the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my life.I asked for my fish and chips to be in a box, and the fish and chips came in two separate bags within a big bag. The chips are sloppy, greasey all stuck together in one bag, and the large fish came as two fish in another bag.The chips are under cooked scraps and very sloppy.I asked for salt and vinegar and didn't get any at all. I waited 20 minutes outside waiting to be called in then had to wait another 10 minutes for the food to be cooked. I from out of town staying in a hotel. I been driving from Yorkshire on a 5 hour drive to the hotel then 2.5 miles to the chippy, 5 mile round trip. I couldn't be bothered to go back because I'm tired of my long journey today.The cost for this mess is £9.40. I have had one bite out of each fish and some chips. I could eat anymore because it is absolutely dicusting to eat, so the lot has gone in the binPlease see the photos of this mess. I added the mushy pea's on the chips.I will not be coming here again, that's for sure. I gave my experience one star because you have to.

Just been ripped off again ordered large Cod what I received was a thin over cooked strip of fish that must of weighed no more than 3 to 4 oz total rip off. Disgusted

They were 15 mins from closing when I popped in to get dinner for my son & everything was freshly cooked. The large chips...well it fed 3 of us with some left over! The staff are fab, the shop is absolutely spotlessly clean. This is the only place I know that does a spicy jumbo sausage which are my sons fave other than fish. We've had deliveries from here too via their own website & the food delivered has always been top notch. The batter on the sausages & the cod are amazing, chips fantastic as they're chunky but crispy & fluffy & not greasy either & the food we've had delivered has always been super hot. What more could you ask for really?!
