We have a huge beer garden to the pub, offering a great place to social with friends during the long summer's evenings. Our menu has a variety of options to choose from, complimented with fantastic atmosphere for all who visit."

Great pub & restaurant large beer garden. Nice Ales on tap . Where ate all the corner street pubs like this. Bring them back .

Had a beef baget today. It was awful. Almost inedible roast potatoes were deep fried and hard. Complained about the quality... it was ignored.

Brilliant pub. ULTRA accommodating of the G.S.S ( Gosport SteamPunk Society ). Food is always OUTSTANDING. The pub has three elements , the bar & seating , the lounge/snug/conservatory area & last but by far lease an OUTSTANDING garden area. Staff are professional from start to end. If your in Alverstoke area It it well worth a visit. One happy client/customerDee πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Lovely place, friendly service and good sized meals.

I had the pork belly and although that was okay, the pork scratchings were inedible. Also, I had to ask for the accompanying green beans, which didn't arrive until I'd almost finished. They shouldn't have bothered, as there was only 6. The atmosphere is good and the pub is very dog friendly. If you want standard pub food, then this place will be right up your street. It is what it is.

I have eaten in this pub many times and it never fails to deliver. Great food, beer, and friendly staff. Looking forward to the next visit.

I use to think that you cant have a fantastic meal in U.k.until today.Walking down the streets of Gosport, looking for the ferry back to Portsmouth we get to see the Fighting Cocks pub.And we were talking about having a pint and maybe something to eat.Dont be drag away from the outside look. They have an impressive beer garden on the back and the food was....spot on.Even for vegans(as me) they have some very interesting options. The prices were just like in any other pubs in Portsmouth. And the bartenders were friendly and very helpful..There is no discussion,i will recommend the place to everybody who goes to Portsmouth.Hopefully, one day i will get to come back .

Found this place by accident, having taken a wrong turn. Lovely, bright and airy interior, VERY comfortable ambiance, super friendly and welcoming staff...and one of THE most beautiful young ladies behind the bar. The landlady is quiet special too.Free WiFi, free car parking in the street and opposite the pub. Decent menu (I didn't eat on this visit). From a personal perspective, there were too many dogs on my visit, but presumably, this will suit many? This venue also has a beer garden. Sensibly they have time restraints on evening closing, thus respecting their neighbours.Highly recommended.

Visited on a Sunday when they have a large selection of roasts. I had the lamb shank that was superb and reasonably priced for the quality. The service was excellent and the decor in Spring was beautiful. They have a great garden with facilities for kids to stay amused. The rest of the menu looks awesome too.
