Harvester Gravesend in Gravesham

My mother and I went here for mother's day, and had a decent time. It was of course very busy, but still found that my waitresses were engaged, attentive and helpful when it came to ordering etc. They didn't look frazzled, flustered or overwhelmed.Food is reasonly priced. They did have a new menu and so now everything listed comes with calorie count on the side 👀 really eye opening seeing the calories in food. The menu does try to cater to all dietary requirements and much as they can I think.We headed to the salad bar where a host was ready to serve us what we chose, we were told this is not COVID reasons but more so to minimise waste which is understandable.I opted for three stack chicken and mum opted for mixed grill which was really a huge man size plate. It was nice, but she had to get a doggie bag to take away food she couldn't eat. I went for a apple and blackberry crumble, which was okay, but far too much sauce and not enough crumble to match. It was a bit soup like and left some of it after eating crumble part.I would only say that the cutlery needs a polish and glasses need to be properly cleaned. They look so cloudy and a bit dirty. Apart from that, it was a decent visit to Harvester.

Service from the waitress was very professional, the food on the other hand was sub standard, my kids meals - the pasta was mainly full of sauce with some pasta in it, the buttermilk chicken stips were hard and burnt in bits, one of the chip was still raw as it was pointed out by my child. My meal was the dirty combo and the burger had a stake knife in it because they run out of skewers so I had to use a butter knife to eat my ribs as they didn't think of giving an extra steak knife, if I took the steak knife out of the burger then the burger would have fallen apart. The chickens in the burger were really dry and the outside coating which I thought was supposed to be battered but we're breaded was burnt and hard. Apparently my wife's beef burger was nice and she enjoyed that. The buttermilk chicken stips starter were also breaded and not battered and were dry inside and burnt outside.We did enjoy the nachos and jelopino poppers. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday but she as well as others didn't really enjoy majority of the meals so after the meal we decided not to stay for desserts and knocked it on the head and went and got desserts somewhere else. Won't bother coming again as I could do dry burnt chicken myself at home.

Pleasant dining experience, staff were friendly and helpful, food service was quick, despite our waiter constantly being pulled to one particular table and quite frankly probably fed up! Food arrived piping hot and fresh, premises were clean and no qualms

Arrived here at random for food after a busy day, Was met by Alan and advised was bookings only but he just managed to squeeze me in for which I’m super grateful. The food was way better than my last visit to a Harvester years ago which made the meal oh so good. The service was excellent from Katie who when I needed anything was super happy and friendly to oblige . The meat pit master thing (forgot the name) was super juicy and meat was tender well cooked and the sides again all tasted great with some tasty condiments added . Overall the Best Experience from a Harvester I have had in a very long time. And I will be back for more at this location . I will book in advance 👍 Thanks again Alan and Katie for a sterling job at showing what a Harvester should be like everywhere.

Lovely meal and service was great! Shelley was wonderful, always checking to make sure we were ok with everything. 5 Star customer service! 😁

After a couple of decent meals here we decided to come again today. Started off great was served initially by a lovely lady who unfortunately was about to finish her shift. I don't know the name of the girl who took over as she never bothered to introduce herself but had time to check her phone more than once in the middle of the restaurant. We sat down at half 3, made our meal and drinks order all at once but didn't get our food untill nearly 5. It was not busy. Our mains eventually arrived but there was no room to put the plates as we hadn't had our table cleared from our salad. Overall really really bad service. The food was warm not hot and the corn had no butter and tasted of rubber. The 'manager' was unfazed by our concerns and extremely unprofessional. Won't bother again..

We were walk in group and they had no problems seating us. Top food as usual. Staff very helpful with our autistic son with his food allergies. Will be going back again.

Gone down hill. We stood waiting to be seated for a good 5 minutes despite three staff members just standing there chatting to each other about their night out.Wasn't particularly clean, the young lady serving the salad obviously didn't want to be there.Asked for dairy free ice cream instead of dairy for my son and even though I offered to pay the difference in cost for, it wasn't as easy to get as in other Harvesters.

A good, straight forward menu. We had three of the fish options and enjoyed them all. Friendly and efficient service on a very busy Sunday.

Went to this Harvester, for lunch, as the car park always seems busy, which is a good sign. Had a good welcome on arrival,and were shown to a window table, and menus etc, brought up very efficiently.Good food well cooked, and different courses were brought up, exactly when they should have been. Good well stocked Salad Bar.We were very well served.Overall a good meal, reasonably priced, and well served.If you want a good Harvester then this is one to remember.
