This is an absolute gem of a place. We love spending time here with such friendly staff. The food is really tasty and good value! Can’t recommend this pub high enough!

Back in Kent for the weekend, promised my friends that we would get boots on the ground, to check out a suitable venue for us Christmas doo. Had been in before- a few years ago. Had a drink and scoped the place out. As good as I remember it. Nice homely feel, food looked as good as I remember and staff are warm and friendly. They have a sister pub, the Chaser Inn at Shipbourne, which also has the wow factor. We will not doubt book the part of the building called “ The Library”. As you can see from the photo’s, segregated and not a thoroughfare.

What a lovely pub!! Wish it was my local. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Such a lovely atmosphere! The Sunday roast was really tasty and very well presented, we really enjoyed. We will definitely be returning.

Had a super father's day meal out here in the Cricketers Inn today - excellent choice of food from a special set menu for the day and great service - Would highly recommend!!

Hoping to edit this review in the future, as the pub is in walking distance! First round of drinks from the bar was torturous. Two members of staff quibbling over a mistake/refund with the till and 'oh 🙄, having to do calculations manually'...for the customer next to us. Pretty sure he found it odd too as we made a joke with him about the situation. Waited too long to be served, eventually another member of staff tended to us. Second round of drinks, again, waited too long to be served. Then the staff member holding my already poured pint proceeded to have a conversation with other staff and then, the girlfriend, another staff member gave him a kiss on the cheek. At that point he handed me my drink. At £5.60 a pint I expect better Cricketers. I want you to do better. Customer service training desperately required. Signing off as a former publican!

I don’t usually post negative reviews but for this I make an exception. Lovely place but extremely poor value for money. Waited 45 minutes for food. My daughter paid extra for bacon on the mac and cheese and it was missing so had to send it back - another ten mins wait. My wife had soup - not that great and no butter provided with the bread. I had a burger which was nice but for £14 I expect something a bit special. Basic skinny fries (I suspect frozen) no salad and bacon and cheese is extra on top of that. Glass of red wine £12. Young server didn’t have a clue. Never going back. Ever.

A lovely little pub! Dog friendly bar and beer garden and they do the most amazing roasts on a Sunday! Here is a picture of our little moo having the best time and loving all the attention from the staff!!

Polite staff, very clean inside. Wine was lush and the food was amazing! Very generous portions. Definitely coming back!
