I was asked to leave by the landlord, after buying 6 pints ,because I was looking for a piece of very valuable jewellery that I had accidentally dropped on the floor. I am very saddened by this event as this ring meant a lot to me, and the landlord didn’t seem to care. The landlord said are you looking for “green” after I explained more than 3 times that I was looking for my ring!!!

Absolutely awful, the landlord himself kicked us out of the pub just so he could take his “spot” with his mates. It’s a very old fashioned run pub and will not survive long so I’m not too stressed but I wouldn’t bother just let all the regulars die out. Thanks

Very nice pub - I didn't have a drink as they advised I'd had enough which is fair but lovely staff

Great pub, great staff. A pleasure to visit, especially when live music is on

My 'Local' This is a real old school pub, mind your head, with super friendly service and locals. They have music festivals at different times of the year also. It's small but amazing.I recently stayed in a room in the hotel part for 17 days and it was super comfortable and a nice size being a King-size bed room. I had a fridge and microwave which was very convenient. I love it here!

Betty Stoggs (Skinners-Truro) , ProperJob and Dark Star Hophead are regular ales with 1or 2 guests, sometimes as 18/8/21 a local Iron Pier brewery ale. Reasonably priced at about 3.60 with a small 10p discount to Camera members. The pub has an enclosed seating area outside and feels comfortable and welcoming within - unless you bash your head on one of the lower beams! Food is available...check for menu/ timings. Beer festivals are held incl. August bank holiday. The staff are friendly and cheerful and there is an attached hotel and some parking. One of Gravesend's finest.
