I’ve eaten here a couple of times & it’s been ok, now I don’t know if they’ve got a new chef but tonight the food was Amazing 👌

Not bad at all. Having dined at various Punjabi Grill joints up & down the country this place isn't too bad at all. Food was piping hot on arrival to the table, ordered fries & received a mountain. Overall decent. I'd return. Missed out on 5* only due to the condition of the men's.

Give it a miss food was acceptable but the venue was awful, they state on website about being upmarket, but they put our 18th birthday party in the pub area next to the doors to the toilets, there were 14 of us but they'd set up a space of 10!!! No point complaining as the manager refused to call us back and they lied about using the restaurant area as a covid centre, when the night before they had it all set up for the uefa cup final, they've posted themselves on their FB page

Nice food on time but everything was far too hot. We ordered mild dishes and ended up throwing a lot away. Chicken Biryani. Butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are not hot dishes. Very disappointed.

Masala chip was so white it had no salt whatsoever, onion bhadi was burn and tasteless and lamb chops was too salty and cremated. 2 stars only for naan and chicken tikka which was nice, warm and enjoyable.

Good Punjabi food with large portion size, excellent customer service, quick service and clean place.

A group of us visited the Punjabi grill for dinner, the venue on arrival is in a nice location looking out onto the prom. On entering the venue the bar is very clean and up scale. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and served drinks properly. The venue it itself feels authentic and fun, my only negative on the decor is that there are far too many televisions in a relatively small bar area. Our order was taken in good time and came out promptly. It tasted wonderful and all the food was as ordered. The waiting staff were attentive in ensuring we had enough drinks and sauces on the table. I was very impressed with the venue going out of their way to preheat some gluten free naan bread for me and ensuring it was not cross contaminated.Overall, The service here is wonderful. The food is authentic, generous and great value for money. We had a delightful evening and will be returning soon!

Had a very disappointing meal from here this evening. It started off well with really quick delivery however, before we even open the curry we could see it was swimming in grease. We dapped it with kitchen roll as much as possible and got it plated up. Despite our best dabbing efforts, the plates were still very greasy from the food. The food itself was very spicy so between that and the excess grease we couldn't actually taste any flavour in the curry. We were both extrealy disapointed. It wasn't particulary cheap which we wouldn't have minded had the food been up to a better standard. We actually ended up throwing most of the food in the bin and ordering from somewhere else. Would not recommend and will not be ordering from here again.

Some great memories of this place from the late 80's early 90's when I was at the Sea College and this was the local ran by a man called Sid and his wife. Locals were really nice and the Landlord and wife were great. In 2012 I revisited this place as I was buying a car from just outside Gravesend and was staying the night locally. I had to visit the Canal Tavern and was pleased to receive a warm welcome with the current staff who I shared some stories with. Pleased to say some of the locals I knew (Bugsy etc) still frequent the place occasionally.Drinks are served with a smile and the food was tasty and well priced.
