The naan bread and the sauces were so good..the lady serving us was super sweet. I love the proximity to campus and you get the feel of a pub without having to go into town. Good for laid back nights or a quick bite of authentic Indian food.

Nice and cozy pub. A good place for football lovers and beer enthusiasts. The Indian restaurant inside is maybe not so authentic but again that's my opinion. All in all, a nice hangout spot.

We do enjoy a good curry. We've tried Anaj twice and never again. Soggy popadums, greasy bhajis and a butter chicken where you could crunch the dessicated coconut and the sauce was slimy and absolutely no heat at all (We think this was for a Korma instead!). Probably the worst curry in Guildford!

Been there sunday at 17, not much people and no Guinness. The only food they have is indian and is very good.

Great cosy outdoor seating and they play fantastic music here. Amazing curries, fairly decent beer selection and a slug on the wall. Wish I'd known about this place during university!

All drinks were great, Tom made sure we had everything we ordered even though they were quite busy and had many clients to look after. It was disappointing we couldn’t over food because they had too many orders, but still worth the visit.

Usually really like our local - they have BT Sport and Sky so great coverage of sport but today the lady behind the bar was very rude. She seemed to take issue with us from the moment we walked in. Really wish there was another option for a drink in Onslow Village!

Went in here a few days ago. It does seem to have changed a little since my last visit several years ago. Mostly the furniture in the Astolat has changed.I was with a friend and we ordered curry from an in-house takeaway service which I imagine is about sharing costs and facilities. The place was fairly quiet and it's not central. I know historically they used to have quiz nights. I don't know what they now do in terms of entertainment, however there was football match on and several screens showing it so I guess that's at least part of what they do.Overall I liked the experience, though am unlikely to frequent the pub, I would have no reason to object to going again.

I love this pub, I still consider it my local even though I don't spend as much time there as I once did.The highlights have to be the owner (he's much happier than he sometimes appears), the monthly pub quiz (it's a doozy), the Indian food (most nights), and Jerry's pizzas (Fridays only in the summer) - these really are the best pizzas in Guildford and a pizza and a pint for £10 (accurate at time of writing) is an outstanding deal. It's one of the friendliest and safest pubs in Guildford :-)

Bar maid was incredibly rude and the heavy pop music playing in the background just made the entire experience there uncomfortable. They love their regulars thoughThe Asian food however is incredible. 5 stars for him and 1 star for the bar.
